Yes there are. Andy Chan is figuring out how to use brackets and the stock plastic Elise grill to mount them. The piece is the same and fits perfect. I know you need a set and as soon as he figures it all out I'll be calling you.

Ive heard of people removing it a few times now. . .
It's much finer mesh than the radiator or hatch mesh... the thinking (and I think some people have actually datalogged this) is that the engine runs cooler under high load when there's no mesh on the side scoops.

I've heard from owners who have deleted the mesh from their scoops and they've seen a reduction of 10-15 degrees. I think it looks better with the mesh, but to me it wouldn't be worth it.

Jacob has it correct but it's less than 10-15, at least on my Cup car -- we saw about 5-7 degree reduction.

I acquired this set through Jacob (Knucklehead); they have at least 50% more frontal area than the stock Exige side scoops, and of course they extend outward into cleaner air as well. I'm planning on using the extra intake area to test a set of supplemental intercooler air ducts (no I haven't started any work on that yet...).

More photos:
Andy,

Looking good and they can double as air brakes.

Thanks! Believe it or not, they do not stick out as far as the rear wheel arch. I'm hoping I can trade off a little drag for lower intercooler and engine temperatures (and perhaps avoid the spark retard that comes with heat soak).

Hmm... I might have to test for airflow with and without a (coarser) mesh. I'll know more once I start testing the inlet ductwork. I'll probably post in this thread: 2007 Exige S Intercooler Air Flow Study

Mine also runs about 5-10* cooler, but i don't have a rear panel anymore either. My last drive in the canyons I was seeing 181 when usually I'd see 187/189 on a mild day. Now next step with these as andy said is to try and lower IAT.

You mean the black one? That's the stock support bracket for the OEM Exige side scoops. I'm not thrilled with it either (I wouldn't have designed it to block airflow), but if I remove it then there's no going back to stock. On the other hand, if these become available: No drill mounts for Exige scoops onto Elise, I'll probably lose that bracket.

Make any in fiberglass? Would paint body color anyway (not a fan of the CF look, my cup roof is body color CF), and the few grams difference in weight aren't going to help my car go faster, the limiting factor is the driver.

the no drill mount is designed to work on the elise.the exige has the upper fiberglass flange that comes out and the top two holes mount to this.all though my front lower mount could be used.it would just be used for the front lower mount.i could come up with a nice solution for the two upper mounting holes too.only problem i have with that is i dont have an exige to make the mounts from.maybe there is an owner near portland/vancouver area looking for the wider scoops.that wouldnt mind being the test mule?

I noticed a small (2-3 degree) temp drop when I made new mesh for some CF side scoops. I would assume you could use this building technique for even larger mesh if you wanted to keep mesh, but improve flow.
Cheers,
Skottoman

Not yet... I still need to find something I can adapt (i.e. cut, mangle, deform, etc) to fit the ducting to the IC shroud, but I've got a few ideas. Headed back to Cali tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get back on it.

EDIT: Thinking of trimming a vacuum cleaner nozzle to fit the side of the shroud... something like this:
