Let me put it to you this way: South Florida does not have a single dealership worth spending a penny. From MBZ, BMW, Porscheetc...name it. Lived there over 6 years and never bought a single car from their delears. Thieves. That's mostly Miami for you! Prestige, Collection, Braman, etc...Worth of the worth.
Bought my bimmers out of state, same for my Porsche. Elise, find your car and work with Autostrada USA or others. My 2 pennies. |

Hello, bought my 06 elise from Palm Beach Motorcars, and had a positive experience. Also did the 1000 mile service there with no mishaps or damage to the car, that is a plus.

Buy from the Collection - but work them with the other dealers in FL (Palm Beach, World Imports in Jax, and Dimmits in Clearwater)...don't have it serviced there, however...I think they have too many brands and are clueless when it comes to the Lotus.

Stay away from Prestige Imports in Miami. These guys are chaulk full of BS. Got my ride from them and shipped to me out of state.....car arrived without the hardtop, completely dirty inside and out, blown out speakers, a window that wouldn't roll up all the way, and a screw completely hanging out of the steering wheel casing. They spent NO time prepping this car for delivery.
I called them on everything that they promised to send the hardtop, which was not only a part of the deal, but also on the MSRP and online ads. After over 4 months, multiple calls, and multiple promises that it would be to me within weeks, they completely blew me off. The guys I dealt with were Jorge Baster Rodriguez (the Salesman), Henry (the Sales Manager), and Stephen Lewis (the Store Manager). I made a complaint to the South Florida Better Business Bureau, which Prestige did not even bother to respond to. I am also in the process of filing a legal claim with the Miami-Dade 11th Circuit Court. The attorney working for me says this is a slam dunk. They'll likely end up paying not only for the top, but also the legal fees. You are better off going out of state than going to Prestige in Miami. |

I repeat: Not a single dealer in South Florida worth spending your time and $$$. I have been buying cars for over 20 years and cannot believe how these dealers in Miami stay in biz (well I could tell you but not here!). From sales to service not one that could make the cut. Oh by the way the more expensive the cars and the more luxurious the dealers, the worst it gets.

I got my 06 elise from them in April 06.
They weren't bad. The main service guy---Craig (or Greg) was real good. Other than the first service---which every dealer charges a pretty penny for, they were fine no problems. I don't know about anybody's out of state problems. But in person---IMHO no problems. |
