i actually bought it from sector 111 about two years ago. they sold them in carbon fiber and fiberglass for a while, then stopped selling the carbon fiber ones for some reason

just got my car back from FVMC. i got the following done...
-new engine mounts
-RTD brace
-BWR sway bar
-AP racing brakes
-titan QR steering rack
-carbon fiber canards
-carbon fiber side skirts
-carbon fiber louvers
-gas cover and diffuser supports painted black
-removable steering wheel
-fire extinguisher
-harness bar
-4 pt. harnesses
-reverie carbon fiber seats, musulanne and XC

i love what i got done, the seats and harness feel like they give me alot more control of the car. when im strapped in, i can't even lean forward and close the door. i do not move at all in the seat, but it actually hurts to get in now. but im young, so it doesn't bother me. ingress is much easier with the steering wheel off too. the brakes are a little better, i used to have the ultradiscs with steel brake lines. the car is now extremely stable at 100 mph+. the canards, GUT fender, louvers, side skirts, wing, diffuser, and front lip all work great together.i can't really notice the sway bar or the RTD brace. the engine mounts make the shifting alot better. although there is alot more rattling and noise now in the cabin. it doesn't bother me that much , its the worst when your coasting in neutral. i can notice the rack a little bit, it is even better handling. but i notice that i don't have as good of a turning radius. i couldn't even make a u-turn today, i had to back up. all together though, i love what i have done. great work TJ!

i am almost done adding things to the lotus. i just put down some money on a motor swap for a honda k24. i am getting this done sometime in may. i should have about 300 horse at the wheels, NA. if i feel i need more power they said the could always add a super charger.

looks nice! how much clearance is there at the front caliper to the RACs?

is your diffuser straight in the middle? I've seen a few 3 elements that were warped.

im not sure what the clearance is with the RAC's but in my one picture it looks like almost nothing. i think my diffuser may be warped a little. the middle section has a wave to it. i think i might sell it and get a 5 element diffuser.

there are a few things i want to say about my car. it is now actually kinda painful getting in and out. you really can't ever look good getting out. taking the steering wheel off helps, but if you have the top on it is very hard, and im only 20. it is very easy with the top off though. the steering does feel heavier then normal too, but i like it and it is more responsive.

Hmmm....

Thousands spent on carbon fiber parts, all to be offset with the weight of audio equipment.

Personally, I think there is too much going on outside of the car now, but as long as your happy thats all that matters.

yes i did think the same at first too, but i am used to it and actually really like it. i am going to get all the black plastic vents in the front and the engine cover changed to black mesh. i think this will clean up the look a bit more.

Just wondering if it would be easier to get in/out if the seats were swapped? I have an underlying reason for asking this question.

probably. the passenger side is very easy to get into. the driver seats side are so tall, they are very hard to get over.

i added the sub to balance out the weight of the car so it does not have so much weight in the rear. it is purely for performance to make the car more balanced.

just kiddin it does balance the weight of the car more though. i was either getting rid of the sound system or getting a nice one. decided to get the nice one and definetly don't regret it

well we finally figured out what going on with the swap. we plan for it to be installed this winter so i dont miss any driving time. we found the kit and mounts after a long time looking. we will just do the swap at first, with a few internals and should be making an estimated 300 hp at the wheels. i will then decide whether to go NA or add a supercharger. i am probably will go NA, they said i can get over 400 hp at the wheels going NA. they said putting a turbo on it will just be uncontrollable. after all the motor work, i think i will be finally done doing things to my lotus. i only want a few other things done.
- wiper motor removed
- heat and ac removed
- all the black plastic vents switched to black mesh
- some more things painted black

any one have any other ideas?
