Lotus Garage - why so hard to get on the phone?
I've done a few satisfactory online orders with them (although the latest is 10 days on without an explanation). I like the convenience of having the parts manual online but getting tired of waiting three days for return contact. These guys NEVER answer the phone.
I leave messages begging them to call me and then I get an e-mail two days later. The few times I have had them on the phone, they've been very helpful and I guess that's why I keep coming back.Trying to do a trim shop interior with them as they seem to know more about it than my local dealer. Anybody else care to share their experience, good bad or indifferent? Anybody have any experience doing a trim shop interior with Silver Star Thousand Oaks?

I've ordered lots of stuff from those guys but lately they've really pissed me off..
same deal.. 2+ days to return an email and nobody ever answers the phone anymore. The first 2 or 3 times I dealt with them I guess I just got lucky.. answered their phone and were EXTREMELY helpful and patient. I believe it was Steve that was really helpful and patient - nice guy. My Houston dealer's parts dept sucks badly so I don't have many other options. Quote:

My experience has been lousy. I regret not dealing with my local dealer for what I needed. They do not answer the phone. I was this close to calling off an order for a carbon fiber roof when the guy I was buying from suggested I just contact these guys for the seals. (I did get the correct seals from them to be fair). On the other hand, they sold me the WRONG ECU. I ordered a 2007 Exige S ECU on April 30 2008. 2 weeks past without a word. I sent an email canceling the order at this point. In Dec 2008, I needed roof seals, so I asked if I could also place the order for the ECU. They had already confirmed which model car I had and reiterated it again:
Alex, Good to hear from you and that you are interested int he 07 Exige ECM. We have it in stock in our Georgia warehouse and it will run you $1169.69 not including the shipping or the refundable $500 core exchange charge. Please let us know if we can assist you further. Regards, Brandon And they sent me an ECU for an 08 car. But yeah, to top it all off, the only time I could EVER get to speak to these characters on the phone was when there was a billing problem with my credit card. Then my phone rang and people wanted to talk. |
