MBE Auto Repair (former HRM techs) - TOP NOTCH!

Have you ever gotten a product or service and were made to feel almost like family? Did the company make you feel like your problems were theirs? Did they go out of their way to do the right thing? Have you ever received customer service of such high quality that you would have happily paid double what was charged?

This was my experience with MBE Auto Repair (also known as Erick and Jorge; the former HRM techs) located on Terrace Ave in Port Chester, NY.

I brought my car here after PES installed my BWR supercharger because the car was having some problems within a few days after install (ABSOLUTELY not related to PES or BWR!)

1. Integrity

I was kept up to date on every detail. Every time I called, they had an update for me on my car's status. Every time they said they'd do something, it was done without my pestering. They always told the truth and were entirely honest about my car's condition and possible problems.

Lastly, they were honest about the charges, only charging for the work they had done and not "approximating" labor hours or tacking on extra hours without warrant.

2. Punctuality

Every task was done ON TIME! If I gave them a part to install, it was done within the next day or so. When it was time to pick up my car, it was ready. No pestering. No constant calling. They just initiated tasks so well. As stated, every time I called, something else had been completed.

3.

Taking the extra step

This is where these guys shined. First of all, they kept in contact with Fred Zust of BWR on their own accord, sharing information, data, and doing their best to diagnose my car's mysterious issue. They handled everything. They tested the car and reported on it. They listened to me. They called me for updates. They took my calls when they were not even working at the shop. They even covered my car when it was kept outside!

4.

Getting the job done

Sometimes this is taken for granted. Many times I have brought my car places and the job was never done correctly. This is the entire reason my car had problems to begin with; SHODDY, lazy, and CARELESS work! They did the job right. They took the time to figure out my car's problem, and not it runs flawlessly.

Though it cost me some $$ to repair the problems caused by my previous mechanic, I feel like it was a blessing in disguise because I finally found an honest shop that KNOW the cars, know the customers, and know customer service. Bravo!

I think the best part of this experience is that I know if something else goes wrong in the future, I have the utmost confidence in these guys to fix it properly and in a timely manner.

Wow - well, if that is not a ringing (if also not thorough) endorsement, then I do not know what one is!

That's cool of you Bav, to take the time and consideration to actually post up your POSITIVE experience. All too many times, folks are all too quick to post up the negative, but never take the time or bother to advise of the positive. Very refreshing, from both perspectives (the actual apparent service you received, AND your taking the time to openly advise of it) indeed! To you BOTH!

You ever have a GF for a long time and you aren't happy with her but you are loyal and comfortable with her and can't break free? Then you get a new one who is wonderful and you realize what you've been missing all along. That's exactly how I feel!!!!

Do you mind to share their phone number and address?

This is the kind of shop I have been looking for and never be able to find one. I ended up working on the car myself.

The number is 914-473-5914. That's one of their cell phones, that way they can be reached at any time.

The address is 172 Terrace Avenue

Do you know if they'll do NYS inspection? If I go all the way up there for some service might as well get everything done.

Just called and he said yes he can take the car to have an inspection. They don't do the inspections, but they have a guy down the road who does.

They're also right next door to a wheel/alignment shop, so when I install my new set of Toyos and eventually Nitrons, they can easily take care of that for us...

M, thanks. An almost-1-stop shop for Lotus. Now must compile a list of things they should do/check on my car. Haven't caught up with you guys for a while and it sounds like your car has completely changed! Geez

I've been around. Had a lot of fun this summer at a short gig up North. but now decided to make a change in my life (sick and tired of working at dealers) this past year was my 14th year in the biz as a service manager/advisor, and if Lotus of Greenwich didn't go under that would have been my home for a long time! but I currently scrounge enough change every month to get buy and am considering opening my own little place come summertime. here's a lil pic, i'm rebuilding my VW over the winter and working on some business plans. Good to see the community is still strong! i'll be around take care!

and again for Eric and Jorge!! they are very hardworking fellas I wish them the best of luck!
