...i negotiated with them over the course of a week this past winter to purchase an XKR on trade-in from across the country; unfortunately, the day they were to quote me a final price, during my salesperson's lunch break, another salesperson unaware of our negotiation sold the car to a walk-in customer...
...that said, they were very courteous, professional, and apologetic about the incident, and i have no reason to hesitate dealing with them again if the right car comes along...i'm sure somebody else who has dealt with them directly can offer you more extensive first-hand experience, but all the feedback i received from local customers while looking into park place myself was positive...

Why would you fly out here from the East Coast?
My short opinion of Park Place: The owners are car guys and between them even own and race a few Lotus cars, I've had good conversations with them at local get togethers. Excellent service center, they've been very good to me and very professional. Their Lotus tech (Bog) is a great guy and knows his stuff. The service manager (Brian) is well informed and knows what's going on at Lotus. The sales guys are nice guys, but they're doing what they can to sell a car at the best possible price for the dealer. In the end I wasn't able to reach an agreement with them and bought my car elsewhere in the country and had it shipped. I saved over $10k buying elsewhere. They were nice to me, but their prices are adjusted for the local region which is rather affluent. I'm surprised at the move to fly across country to buy from them, is there something special they have? |

...in my case, they had in stock the only green XKR coupe available in the 'states at the time - like i said, good experience, just an unfortunate mix-up...

My personal experience with Park Place has been with John Beard in the parts dept and he is great to deal with.

Bog the service tech is awesome! He always says Hi to me when I'm there and loves to show you what he's working on. Brian is awesome too. I remember my 7500 mile service where I had a question on why replacing the air filter costs more than inspecting it and putting it back in. He agreed it was absurd and adjusted the price.

If you're serious about purchasing a vehicle from them, just go straight to the top and ask for Ryan Vanderwel-GM for Park Place and tell him Abe sent you.

I'm the third owner of an Elise originally purchased at Park Place. They owe me nothing. When I called to get help finding my car's PIN # they treated me like a new customer. They could have not been more professional or helpful.

The high end stuff like Lamborghini's, Carrera GT's, Ferrari's etc, is all inside. The elises/exiges are outside... but last time I was there, all of their brand new lotus's were inside.

This typically won't work, he'll pass you off to one of the specialists, who unfortunately don't have deal-making authority, and after you agree to buy a car you'll need to wait for Ryan's approval. This is not a slight against Park Place, I'm sure most dealerships work that way. My only complaints about Park Place apply to most car salesman everywhere; it's a business and they're in it to make a sale.

They are good bunch of people at park place but don't expect to get far when it comes to getting price down. What I found to be great is that they go above and beyond to make sure your getting what you really want. They are not pushy when it comes to sales and will leave you alone while you shop and not hassle you.
