Two Thumbs Up for Sports & Specialists (Princeton Lotus)

I wanted to thank S&S for an excellent service at very reasonable prices. Their service is great, and their rates for labor are low and accurate. They did work for me (replacing ECU), it took 1/2 an hour, and they charged half an hour! I have yet to see a dealer (any dealer) that would be so honest.

I know I have only two thumbs but I wish I had four since Sports & Specialists really deserves it. Good service and friendly people. Where else can you find that nowadays. Took my new Exige S in for service today and Jim as usual did an outstanding job with all my issues. While waiting, Ed just learned about the 60th Anniversary Edition Elise and printed out the flyer for me to see (The same one Robert posted here New 60th Anniversary Edition Elise available for ordering - LotusTalk - The Lotus Cars Community). I actually look forward to take a day off to bring my car in for service

I am glad they have treated you well but unfortunately that is not always the case. These guys are a bunch of thieves! Just wait until they burn you like they have burnt others on this board. Turn your back on them and they will steal from you…. including Ed. They will you if you give them the chance.

I'm not doubting you but I just find it funny that reviews on anything on the internet always falls into two catergories. Those that think its the best thing in the world and those that think its the worst. Rarely in between and I don't think people in either camp are lying

I definitely agree with you. It can sometimes be hard to find the truth on the internet because people can post whatever they feel like posting and not have to worry about backing it up.

Let me see if I can dig up the court documents. If you have access to Maryland District Court records you can search “Sports and Specialist Cars” and the owners name “Robert Burt” to see the full case.

I don't have access to the records but I'd love to know the story. My 06 Canyon Red came from there and I discovered a while back that the original owner (great stand up guy by the way) actually bought with the paperwork marked as a demo car and it had 300+ miles on it when he took delivery. I'm not sure if it was made 100% clear to him since he bought it off the showroom floor. This worries me a bit.

You think you been ripped off by SandS?. You dont wanna know what happened to me. And that comes from a guy with 500+ posts and not a single rant.
Put not in public. I hope they will change for better some day.

I agree with you on the “not in public” but the more I talk to people it seems many have been done wrong by S&S. Now it appears this thread is bringing others out of the woodwork that have been silent as well. I understand that there are people on both sides of the fence when it comes to any dealer but for some reason I have decided to speak out. Some might feel it is our obligation to this community to tell the truth whether good or bad. They stuck it to me over a year ago and I have been silent so far but things are about to change.

well what happened! PM me we'll swap. I doubt my situation is/was as bad as yours based on how you're describing the experience, but I'd be curious to know for future reference.

Mr. Burt is no stranger to the judicial system when it comes to his car dealerships: http://princetonhonda.com/sites/p/pr...lassaction.pdf
