2006 Ardent Red Supercharged Exige FIRE SALE

Okay lets try this again. I am going to start by answering some common questions that I have received.

Why am I selling the car?

- Why does anyone sell a car? I am bored with it, I dont drive it enough to justify keeping it. Also, I ike money.

Has it been tracked?

-To my knowledge ONLY autocross by me. Total of about 10 sessions and out courses don't break 60 mph mostly.

Is it fast?

-That question is relative and honestly if you have to ask this car is probably not for you.

What supercharger does it have?

-Basically a modified 07 Exige set up.

Whats the Exact mileage?

-49,804

Are there any dash lights?

-NO

Is there a lien?

-Yes, but my bank is super easy to work with. When you call during business hours you talk to an actual person.

How bad is the paint?

-Ive tried to picture it as good as I can. I think by looking at all of the pictures you can get a pretty good idea of how it looks in person. Its a DRIVERS car. This car has never really been stored away and only taken out to cars and coffee. This car has been on road trips, autocross and just general cruises around town. It has been enjoyed.

Is there anything wrong with the motor?

-Not to my knowledge, I have changed the serpentine belt, spark plugs and thermostat during my ownership, otherwise a few mods that are listed below and it has been rock solid. I even drove it to vegas in 100* weather and the AC worked GREAT!

How long have you had it?

-2 years

Tittle status?

-Lien and Clean..

Does it have a clean car fax?

-Yes! and I have a copy of it somewhere, just did it a few weeks ago. Some shop in Washington logged my VIN for a maintenance service and f*cked up the mileage log. It is corrected by the NV DMV smog checks though. More investigating can be done if the DMV certification is not good enough for you.

Now to the meat of the post..

During my ownership I have added the following: (I still have the stock parts)
-ORE HID ballasts
-Innovation motor mounts (front and rear mounts, I have the side mounts)
-Ceramic coated Lanari Exhaust
-GRP rear panel delete
-GRP shift knob
-5.25 JL speakers front
-all metal Duralast thermostat (Toyota red coolant to replace the old)
-Gates serpentine belt
-GRP valve cover to crank case oil sling block off plates
-Powder coated valve cover and intercooler tubes
-Saikou Michi oil catch cans
-New spark plugs (correct heat for supercharger)
-Removed stock wing (still have it)

Installed Previous to my ownership

Exterior:
Carbon fiber splitter
V6-spec mirrors
Carbon fiber side scoops (wide)
Carbon fiber gas door
Black rear Lotus lettering
Difflow 5-element diffuser
15mm wheel spacers
07' hard top with scoop
RLS hood prop
Will come with Soft Top
I also have an extra set of wheels if you want them

Suspension:
Some brand rear toe rod connector
stainless steel brake lines
Sector 111 front steering knuckle
**uninstalled**
porterfield r4s street pads
motol rbf600 fluid
resurfaced OEM rotors.

Interior:
Red LED start button
Red LED gauge needles
Red LCD screen
Black gauge face
Rear mount for camera or radar setup

Engine/Drivetrain:
MP62 supercharger from 07'
Reverie carbon fiber intake
BOE Torque300 tune
3" supercharger pulley
RC 550 injectors
Sector111 "Gpan" oil pan
Sector111 PC680 mini battery kit

Most of the OE smog equipment has been removed. The tune it has however allows it to pass OBD2 smog check. I am unaware if it would pass a sniffer. It has passed smog in my city twice as is.

The headlights could stand to be aimed up a bit, not terrible but noticeable. There is plasti dip residue here and there from the previous owner. Most just in the door jams. Ive cleaned most of it. The Tach needles need to be reset sometimes when they stick, super easy 2 second procedure. The wing is off and the bolts are **** and one is stripped, I cannot put it back on at this time. It can be shipped if you want to pay for it, otherwise it can be your passenger for the ride home. The hard top is clean and needs headliner, like most Lotus cars the headliner fell off and was subsequently removed. I will throw in a box of stock parts including the stock motor mounts and headlights.

Price- $36,000

If you are truly interested text or call me at 775-412-two nine seven two

I took these pictures TODAY.

Some photographers picture of my car from the last time the car was out of the garage before today.

MORE PICTURES IN THE NEXT POST... sadly the ugly ones

These pictures are intended to disclose as much information over the internet as possible.

To start, I refinished the headlights and had a star shield product put on them. They bubbled up and I was told they would clear up, and they never did. I have not taken them back. I can only assume the shield could be removed and then new stuff applied.

Next are the rock chips and aforementioned scratch on the front clam.

This is the VERY bottom of the drivers side door

Driver door

Clear coat problem around engine lid

Pimple from factory paint

Passenger door

Roof

Most of these pictures were taken with the flash on to really show the defect. As I have said they are not as noticeable in person. I know the paint on this car very well as it has been regularly washed and waxed with high quality german products, clay bared twice in my ownership and ALWAYS allowed to air dry. No shammy towels were ever used. Always microfiber. The swirls in the paint are VERY minimal due to this.

Don't let location get in your way. Most lotus buyers search (and buy) nationally. i don't know the seller or the car. If the car meets your needs, do a ppi and ship it. I bought my Elise and Evora this way and would do it again. Just my $.02.

Much appreciated, and you're right. Just another expense to consider is all, but anything that isn't local is either a one-way plane ticket and/or several hours of my time and gas anyway.

OP, if the bolts are stripped for the wing, are the holes still okay? Wondering if new screws are all it'll take to get that wing on again or it's a bit more of a project.

anyone out there looking at this ad and wondering "is this a good deal?" the answer is (barring any major unforeseeable unknowns) yes.

for the wing, like ConeKilla suggested, heli coils should work just fine - 10 minute fix.

100% agree, I went in person to check this car out for a friend that didn't end up buying due to funding issues but a very honest seller and car. Wish I was in the market to pick up this sweet deal!
