2006 Canyon Red Elise for sale

For sale is a 2006 Lotus Elise with 17,600 miles. Canyon Red with Touring (black int), Starshield, and Aux Driving Lights (installed by Lotus of Durham). NO sport, NO hardtop.

Purchased end of Nov 2006, warranty until Nov 2009 or 36,000 miles
Price: reduced to $31,500
Location: Cumming, GA 1 hour north of ATL airport, 45 minutes north of the city
Reason for selling: don't drive it enough, wife needs an automatic.
Never tracked, only fun mountain drives.
Sector 111 micromirror (black), trunk bootie, shower cap.
Raised '07 LOTUS leters on rear.
Lotus engraved fuel filler door, locking gas cap.
Polk 400 speakers in front, Polk 650 speakers in rear.
Original Yoko's in front, Bridgestone Potenza RE01R in rear (installed 11/15/07 at 11,592 miles)
I have the 1000 mile Ecu printout (LOD), window sticker, keys, alarm codes, mauals, tools, records, etc.
Bad news as follows. This Elise was in an accident BEFORE we purchased it from LOD. The front clam, headlights, and windshield were replaced by LOD. LOD was less than honest with me about the cause of the accident at the time we purchased this car. I just found out more about this in May. I have the Carfax so do not pay for it. This is not why we are selling. I think if LOD did not repair this car properly I would have seen it in the last 19 months of ownership. The state of North Carolina has a damage disclosure statement, so I knew what was replaced when we bought it. I will be happy to explain what I know, too much to type. Not trying to hide anything.
Good news is we have never had any mechanical issues with this Elise. The drivers window leaked, pass window, and trunk. The drivers window and trunk were repaired/adjusted by Lotus of Atlanta under warranty. The pass window is still not exact. It does not leak when driving in the rain. Other than that this car has been awesome.
I have done all oil changes myself using Mobil 1 products. I did the brake/clutch bleed in January. Changed the tranny fluid in January also. I have all receipts and pics of the maintenance I have completed. I am due for an oil change now, so it will be fresh for the new owner.

Thanks Ben for putting in a good word for me. Got back from PA last night around 1 am. Got 30-31 mpg in the Elise, one last roadtrip. This Elise did make 3 total trips to PA. Never a problem, just boring on the interstate. Ben good luck with yours when you get it. Anyway, NO hardtop, sorry. Too much going on in my mind to mention no hardtop. Thanks all, Adam.

For anyone interested in this car......... If you are interested in the vehicle (meaning the color, options...price...etc...are right for you) and you do come to see the car, you will take it home that day! I just was over to head out with Adam 2day for a small bike ride, and had not seen the car in a while........it looks brand new! He keeps the car spotless, and again, its a beautiful vehicle. A lot of Canyon Red's in PA. Mine came from PA, this one and my friend just sold his from TX headed towards PA as well. Good luck on the sale, I'll be parting with my Canyon Red sometime next year as well, I hope you get what you're asking as it's a killer price on an 06.

Also your friends is going to a great guy who I also talked with and had an agreemnet to buy my car 8 weeks ago until I changed my mind. Now I changed it back again and it is for sale. I have had zero interest. I guess the previous damage done by Lotus of Durham has everyone scared off. Since we are originally from PA it was kind of easy to sell to someone from 'home'. Adam.

Way too much to type what Lotus of Durham did to me. I will be happy to explain over the phone if you are seriously interested. NJ I see you are looking for a co/kg anyway, so I would think the canyon red is not for you. By the way, I put 33,500 as my bottom line number. No use jerking people around asking 36,000 or more and then negotiating from that point. I think 33,500 is more than fair for this car. I have read enough on lotustalk to know people want to know what the bottom line is with things, especially price. Thanks, Adam.

UPDATE:
Lotus of Atlanta just completed a full vehicle inspection for me. Nothing was found, no frame damage. They completed all recalls/open campaings on the car. They also did a ECU dump for me and I have the printout. Price is still firm. Thanks all for looking. Adam.

Adam and his wife spent about 4 hours of their time this past Saturday allowing me to scour this car top to bottom. Only my burning desire for an 08/09 Elise SC prevented me from purchasing this car. As a matter of fact, if that burn goes away any time soon, I may still.

Adam has done an amazing job keeping this car in immaculate condition. I would highly recommend anyone interested in a NA Elise to check out this one.
