If you click the link and read towards the bottom, it has a buy it now price of $59K so there goes that idea of something for nothing

I think I've been here too long. That main picture is clearly of the car that was sitting in Criswell's showroom forever.

I think you'd have a hard time getting something that said "THIS VEHICLE IS NOT LEGAL FOR STREET OR HIGHWAY USE. COMPETITION OR TRACK USE ONLY." street legal. The Cert of Origin for the Cup Cars is very clear:

Whether a state would ever sign off on it is another thing, but just the Cert is a major hurdle.

The photos were Criswell Photos of the one that sat in the showroom on the other side of the room from your desk... the one with the rope surrounding it... the one you started up for me outside and revved a little...
