See below for all of the details of the Lotus. I will get some updated pics ASAP.

The clutch is due to be replaced. When really getting on it, it does slip some. If I don't sell I'll get it replaced and keep it, but I've had this for a few years now and I think it's time to try out something new. The car is incredibly fast and has been a fun car to drive.

I dunno, maybe posting a 3 year old link that got you to buy the car is kind of short cutting the sale a little. "When really getting on it..." suggests that perhaps an overall update on its current condition, in addition to the clutch, might be helpful.

Not a surprise, I agree.

This is the 3rd "lazy" for sale thread in as many days. One was for leather "console" cover.

OP, not singling you out, but here's some advice.

Post lots of pictures, not links.

Picture worth a.....

Be a bit original. Not a copier.

How many paid ads have we ever seen without a photo or 3 of the item?

Apologies guys, I'll get some updated photos by tomorrow evening. I'm just a bit anxious to get something new for the summer so wanted to get it up ASAP.

I've put only about 3,000 miles on the car, no other issues besides the clutch. I've maybe driven it 10-12 times in the last year. I still get around just fine in it, but if I want to "show off" and really get on it, I'll experience a slip when I hammer on the throttle sometimes.

I guess my question has is why the clutch needs replaced at 16,000 miles? Now if you tell me it has 500 hp then I would understand? There definately needs to be a lot more info in this ad. Even if there is no time for pictures it can't take more than 10-15 minutes to write a solid for sale ad that gives current info and condition of the car. My immediate gut reaction when I see ads like this is if the time can't be taken to do at least some kind of write up how can I trust the car was serviced and taken care of?

Mods, forgive me if I'm out of line and delete this post accordingly.

The site didn't have photos??

Note that I did recommend people buy your item.

1. No for sale threads with just a link to an eBay, Craigslist, or any other site ad. Take the time to actually make a decent for sale thread.

2. Pictures sell items/cars, please post pictures with for sale threads.

3. No "testing waters" threads, no "just wanting to see what I can get" threads, no "feeler" threads. Although it’s acceptable to list an item OBO, or post an item and ask for everyone's best offer.

4. Discussion following the normal rules of the forums welcomed, but no comments on price allowed unless the OP specifically asks for it. Otherwise, take it to PMs.

5. If market place rules are not followed when posting a for sale thread, it will get deleted.
