more info

I bought the car new in June of 2012. It has had very good care.

If you are looking for a car at a lower price due to cosmetic defects or needed repairs, then this car is not for you.

A few days ago I was at a large Chevy dealer to check out the new Bolt EVs. The lot had dozens of Corvettes and Camaros as well as a used Ferrari. When leaving, three salesmen followed me out to the car. They wanted to know all about it. After four years it still looks beautiful and attracts attention. I thought by buying a black car, it would not attract as much attention as a bright color. Wrong.

The car was recently serviced by Auto Europe in Birmingham MI and now runs better than ever. The Lotus techs at Birmingham are among the very best in the USA.

A couple of reasons for selling. #1 - I would like to buy a new one. #2 - since all of the maintenance services (including tires and software) are recent, the car is ready to drive with no issues for the next owner. It is at its most marketable.

If the car does not sell, that is OK - I will keep and continue to enjoy it.

A side note - I sold my Elise six years ago at 36K miles for $26K. Since then prices have gone up just under $1k per year.

IPS Sports Pack is one of the "OPTIONAL EXTRA CHARGE ITEMS" listed on the window sticker. Apparently sports mode is optional? It is a different car when sports mode is engaged. I always use it when merging into traffic via an expressway on ramp. The extra boost comes in handy and is nice.
