That's pretty good. The car was actually number #51 of 50 so they couldn't sell it as a 72D. The factory painted a lot of the gold trim to black. Personally, I think this car looks better than a 72D but that is just my opinion.

I think that that car has quite a story and is worth more (or will be one day) because of it!!! It does look WAY better... "#51 of 50"

I wouldn't sell it...

Do you drive on PCH much? I always see a black elise to and from beach cities. I'm in Torrance, if you are interested, PM me.

That black Elise may be me. I work in El Segundo and live in Huntington Beach and frequently drive around the Manhattan Beach Hermosa Beach area. Might not be though since I've seen 2 black Elises identical to mine in that area!

. I had quite a few questions concerning the warranty so I figure I might as well just post it.

Question:
You have been the original owner since Nov 2008, correct? I don't understand, if the car was purchased new in Nov 2008, then the warranty should run to November 2011. Am I missing something?

Answer:
LotusUSA required the warranty to start at the dealer when they delivered the car. Apparently, that was the case for a bunch special cars. If you do a search in this forum, there is an offical explaination for it.
