As many of you know, I have recently started a new company, British Racing Group. While we are ramping up operations, some of you have come to me asking assistance in either finding a car or selling one. This car I thought would be of particular interest to the forum.

It is a rare (#47 of only 50 ever built), limited edition 2006
Lotus Sport Elise. This vehicle should not be confused with a
standard Lotus Elise. Lotus Sport is an internal motorsports arm of
Lotus, not unlike BMW's M division or Mercedes Benz's AMG. The Lotus
Sport Elise was designed and engineered for individuals looking for a
factory prepared and track ready version of the Elise. All Lotus
Sport Elises have an exclusive color scheme featuring the Lotus Sport
colors. The cars are Lotus Sport Yellow with Arctic Silver painted
stripes.

The interior features unique to the model leather and Alcantera
trimmed Sport Seats with embroidered "Elise" script writing and
Harness pass-thru. These are the only North American designated
Lotuses to feature Alcantera inserts for the seats through the 2009 MY!
The interior also features Lotus Sport embroidered carpets and steering
column stalks which are finished in brushed stainless steel. The
hand brake is also finished in matching brushed aluminum and features
a unique leather boot. The center console is painted to match the
exterior of the car. There is a Lotus Sport Build Plate
commemorating the construction of this special vehicle, showing it's
unique build number and date.


What really set the Lotus Sport Elise apart from the standard Elise
was the track-ready specification. These limited run cars are
upgraded with an Ohlins Adjustable Track Suspension, Lotus Sport
Upgraded Anti Roll Bar, Lotus Sport Clutch, Traction Control, Harness
Bar and Rear Track Brace. Track ready, this car easily exceeds the
standard Elise's already legendary performance statistics.

Additional features include air conditioning, AM/FM CD stereo with
detachable face, passive system security with proximity alarm, anti-
lock disk brakes, dual second generation airbags, removable hard top
and upgraded insulated soft top.

This beautiful example has only 12k miles and is being offered with
both the standard and stage II factory exhaust systems in addition to
2 sets of wheels. Always garaged, this example has
led a pampered life in the custodianship of a true Lotus enthusiast.
Only a minor paint chip on one of the stripes and a scratch on the
painted center console (see pictures) separate this car from new.
With the original factory warranty in place until 8/2010, this car
offers the discerning buyer the very best factory specification Elise available.

awesome looking car - the interior is immaculate! I wonder where I could find those modifications to do my car (hopefully making a decision on one soon!)

The wonderful thing about this car is that its all factory. 100% covered by warranty. You can go to somewhere like Lotus Garage and order all the parts including the Lotus "trim shop" seats, but the price would be very high. For example, the Ohlin shocks (correct Lotus Sport specification ones) like this car has are like $2,500 plus the springs. The seats are $1,500 each. The painted center console is a couple of hundred. The painted (not vinyl) stripes are another few hundred. You can see how things can get silly pretty quickly. If you were to use non Lotus replacement parts, you could save a few hundred but they won't be covered by the factory warranty and may void certain assemblies of the car.

Besides, the Lotus Sport Elise is not just a collectors piece like the JPS Europas or Gold Leaf Elans but it also represents a highly capable track car as well.

I've received questions about the wheels and tires. The AD07 tires have about 2000 miles on them, including one track day, they have almost new level of tread depth. The car has Toyo R888s on its OE wheels, which have 1 track day and maybe 800 street miles on them.

There is also a set of Schroth belts, never used or installed, that will be included in the sale.
