dude, if you wait another 12 months, that property will be go down about the same amount of the market value of your Lotus. (assuming you are buying near San Jose, Santa Clara area) Don't sell it. South Bay Home prices are down 15% in one year, and the Alt-A & Option Arm resets haven't even started yet.

Serpentor makes a good point. The real-estate market is in for a hurting. Definitely not the time to buy.

It is downtown area, you're right that many areas of California are in for a big hurting, but not all areas. Either way, I need to sell the car sooner or later this year.

CarNutz in Bellevue, WA. Give Jim Pan there a call, they can do yours too if you ship it to them

Bay Area is probably one of the more inflated markets out there, if you say you were buying a house in Tennessee or Texas, then maybe the price will be stable... but a house in San Jose is very risky. The price decline has lagged FLA and LV because most of these the loans in the decent area of Nor Cal are typically Alt-A and Option ARM (not subprime), the bulk of these are going to start to reset in in a few month. I typically don't tell others what to do with their money, but I hate to see you sell your amazing car right after you moved down to a place where you can actually drive it.

I've been thinking about that interior a lot. Where can I get something similar done? Or do you want to swap?

I think maybe we should start a separate thread on this topic, and keep this one on track Even if I don't buy a home this year, I'd like to cut down on the number of cars, to save some more money, and look at getting an exige down the road.

The work was done by CarNutz, in Bellevue, WA. Trust me, if you wanted to do the same, it'd be much cheaper to buy my car

HousingTracker.net: Median Home Asking Price & Inventory Data for San Jose, California

Over a 12 month period homes in San Jose have lost 15% of their value in the median range.

That said this car looks great in person. If building/modding cars is indeed a passion of yours I look forward to your future creation (after selling this one and buying a house). Good luck.

Do you have title in hand? Is it paid off?
How about a trade for a 2005 M3 + $10K?

Saw this car in person this weekend. All the work done is very professional and looks fantastic. The interior is Amazing. Almost every surface custom touched, but very tasteful and by no means overdone. Lotus should take some notes for future "California Editions"
LOVE, those black sills and the dash.

Best of luck on your sale. Bump for you.

There are some posted here and here. I don't have any really good ones with the hardtop on, unfortunately.

I have loved that car from the first time I saw it. Good luck with the house hunt and well half hearted good luck with the sale as I know with that kinda mod budget there is a whole lot of love you put into her that cannot be paid for.

I did spread the word to those I know who would possibly sell their soul to afford it.

Yours did have a bit in grounding me to my naming theme on mine. I hope to see her in person one day, driven by you or the lucky person that buys it.

Edited; decided it was too much like a 'discussion' subject
