Great looking car! It's going to require a special kind of buyer, but whoever that turns out to be will be extremely happy
![]() As for the rules aspect - look what happened to my For Sale thread. It turned into a relationship counseling service ![]()

All PM's responded to.
Troy: I'm selling the car because I want to move on to a new car to mod, and as already mentioned, I'm saving up for a house. Much of the fun in modding cars is the process itself, not just the end result! ![]() |

Good luck with your sale. I just purchased one myself this weekend and will pick it up next weekend. It has a few mods that go very well with the car and I was happy to buy them with the car, but I did not pay any extra for the car due to the mods. I got it for a grood price based on the condition of the car and the options it had. I am happy and the seller is happy with the price. I personally sold a car before building my house I am in now and had to wait until all bills were paid before buying this Elise so you will be back someday.

I most likely will never see much of a return on these modifications (and don't expect to), but at least I have fun with the car.

Here is my last word on this and I will not post here again. I looked at all the mods you have on the car and there are a lot. If someone wants all those mods then great, but I still think the price is a bit too high and seeing that you have been trying to sell the car for 4 months it shows. BTW- the car I got does not just have tint and has a lot more, not that it would matter since I do not feel I paid extra for all the extra items. I must say that it did make me want to buy the car and I felt like it was a better deal than others in that price range so I bought it with that in mind. I think if you lower your price to a little above others then you may sell it with out a problem. Everyone wants a deal and wants to feel that they have spent their money wisely. You also have to think that most of the money on mods, it seems, is on the interior and radio which a lot of Elise buyers do not worry about as it is mainly a drivers car. I also really do hope you do sell your car and get the money for you house and a final good luck.

Ok guys, geez, calm down
We all love lotuses, some of us love modding them more than others, can't we all just get along ![]() I think the experiences I've seen still stand: some people would actually pay less for modded cars (concerns about warranty, quality of installation, etc...), whereas others who were planning to spend a lot modding their cars anyway, can see paying a bit extra for a modded car to be a great deal. It all depends, and it's all about finding the right buyer. I know I won't get anywhere near full return on my mods (knew that the day I started doing it), but that someone is certainly gonna get a great car for a great price!! PS: For those wondering why I've kept the engine and suspension stock, I don't have to worry about voiding the warranty, and I've always found the performance and handling of these cars to be outstanding. (Especially for a car that isn't tracked!) |

Just wanted to say that I fell in love with you Lotus when I saw it...I almost made it my screen saver.
As for the McIntosh...WOW, I went from a big fan to stalker fan. This is a dream car for me truly. Cant afford it-sorry, but a dream car still. I'll have to stick with the MR2 for now. Good Luck, Dominick |
