Elise Lightweight Body Panels (Both Clams, Trunk Lid, Access Covers)

I'm selling the body parts off my SSM car (I've put all the stock parts back on to sell the car.) All parts are professionally painted Titanium Gray. Click images for full size versions.

All parts currently in Bellevue, WA. Willing to ship at buyer's expense (I can truck the parts down to a crating/shipping shop nearby that builds awesome crates to ship stuff like this.)

Front Clam:
Bought from On Rails Engineering, lightweight fiberglass race option. Both wheel wells cut down to clear race tires (275/35/15s on 15x10.5 Bogarts). Massaged to fit all stock body part addons (access panels, radiator vents, headlights, turn signals, and front grills.) Weighs 27.28 lbs as it sits in pictures. $3500 new from ORE plus paint, $2750 for you.

Rear Clam:
Stock clam with gap lines filled. Both wheel wells cut down to clear race tires (275/35/17s on 17x10.5 Bogarts). 8 small holes in top for mounting a wing -- easy to fill if no wing is wanted. Weighs 38.43 lbs as it sits in pictures. $3000 refurb from S111 plus paint, $2500 for you.

Trunk Lid/Engine Cover:
Carbon Fiber trunk lid/engine cover/whateveryoucallit from On Rails Engineering, lightweight version. Massaged to fit all stock body part addons (grills/locking mechanism/latch) Weighs 3.98 lbs as it sits in pictures. $850 new from ORE plus paint, $700 for you.

Access Covers:
Carbon Fiber access panel covers from On Rails Engineering, lightweight version. Weigh 1.10 lbs each as they sit in pictures. $450 new from ORE plus paint, $350 for you.

These would be a fantastic buy for somebody looking to not commit to cutting up their car to fit big tires.

Has there been any price change for these parts?

Sorry, didn't see the notification for your message. No price change. I'll hold onto em for a couple years. We have a spare bedroom I'm not using that's full of Lotus parts, so I'm patient.

I'm not a serious buyer but just interested in what these parts yield for a total weight savings from stock?

I never weighed the stock parts, so I can't answer this. The weights of the individual components are up there, so if you can find the stock weights you can do the math.

Nice pieces! Wish I were closer, the shipping to Hawaii would kill me.
For SSM, did you have to add tons of ballast due to the weight savings? I have over 150 lbs added ballast with stock clams.

I'm not sure how bad it'd be to LTL a large crate to Hawaii. Never shipped anything that big over there before.

Had to add 100 lbs of ballast and run ~3/4s of a tank of gas. Once you add the E153 and supercharger kit and surge tank and giant wheels and tires and aero and stiffer engine mounts and intercooler and bigger exhaust and everything else that goes with all these things, you end up quite a bit heavier than stock, since there's almost nothing that you can actually take out of the car in SSM trim.

Looks like we're going to be buying a boat, so I'm a little more motivated to move these parts.

Combo deals:
900$ for access panels + trunk lid
4900$ for two clams
5500$ for everything

Garage
Darn, I would love to have them but am a couple of years off from being ready...I was hoping for the "keep them in the spare bedroom" option until I was ready to purchase!

You should probably buy them while they're cheap and put them in your spare bedroom. As soon as we buy something, prices will go back up to the previous prices until they sell.

I'm not sure how much shipping would cost. I have access to a company that can make a crate and ship it all out for you, but I haven't shipped anything this big before, so I'm not sure what that cost would be.

Not sure what you mean by "clear these wheel wells"? Which dimension are you asking about?

Front Clam #3

Thanx for getting back, Can you give me approx weight so I can determine some idea of shipping cost. Also, I was referring to clearance for my 16" wheels vs your 15".
Thanx

Tire diameter/width is all that should matter for the fitment. I was running 275/35/15 (23.0" diameter) front, and 275/35/17 (24.7" diameter) rear tires.

The body parts themselves are 72 lbs total. I don't know how much the box would be -- probably another hundred pounds or more, since it'll need to be in multiple parts, to make sure they're adequately protected.
