I believe that the fronts are heavier than LSS because they are wider.

Slightly heavier, but they are 1/2" wider front and rear, supposedly stronger
as well. LSS = 16 x 6.5, 17 x 7.5 Cup = 16 x 7, 17 x 8

I don't understand how you are getting new wheels like these. Are they being remanufactured to the 2007 specifications?

Are these OEM wheels, or are they being made by another source? Who actually made the OEM Cup wheels? Is this the same source? Also, would the price include shipping in the lower 48 States?

The wheels will be the same as what came on the factory Lotus cars. They will say Lotus Sport on them and will be made by the original manufacturer.

Price does not include shipping or tax if you are in CA.

According to Puresportscar.com, the LSS wheels are 12lbs front and 14lbs rear.
But according to wiki, the front LSS wheels are (est.) 5.5 kg and 7 kg (respectively). This translates to 12.12lbs and 15.43lbs. Also according to wiki the Lotus sport cup wheels (these that are being sold) are: 6.1kg and 8.1kg respectively, which puts that at 13.45lbs and 17.86lbs respectively. Which makes sense because the real benefit to the sport cup wheel is that it is .5" wider front and rear allows you to run wider tires front and rear with a proper offset, while still being relatively light.

2009 Cup 260 M/Sport

But the ultimate wheel that Lotus has ever put on an Exige was this one. It came on the 2010 Cup 260s. This was the lightest...

If you are interested in the lighter Cup 260 wheels, my friend has a few new sets of these wheels coming in. These wheels are OEM Lotus Cup 260 wheels and are lightest. They will available in both silver and black and will be around $2350 a set. Please PM me and I will get you his contact info and I will send you some pics of what is available.
Thanks |

Aye Carumba! Like I need a third set of Cup 240 wheels. I do love 'em tho. A lot. Hmmm, perhaps if I can sell my LSS wheels for $1,250, I can rationalize buying these. Oh bother...
Interested in a black set. FWIW, I weighed two of mine, sans caps or wheel weights on a US Post office's scale... Fronts 13lbs 10ozs Rears 17lbs 8.5ozs I personally prefer the Cup 240 wheel over the 260 wheel (which looks too genericly SEMA tuner-y, for my tastes), or, for that matter, any other wheels for our cars. I think they look the best and their smooth / organic design make them the easiest to clean. I LOVE the "LOTUS SPORT" machined into the spokes. It's subtle, or if you paint the inside (one of my sets has the script painted yellow) it really POPS and helps me easily differentiate between my two sets. If I get a third set I'll need a different color code.

I assume the Lotus center caps won't come with these but would fit?

You are correct, no lotus center caps. just generic from the manufacturer.
