FS: Pirelli Winter Snowsport Tires
They've been sitting in my garage and I have no use for them in the climate I'm in, so I might as well sell them.
I had them on my 2005 Elise. I bought them from the Lotus dealer in Estonia when I lived there, as winter tires are mandatory during that time of year. I didn't drive much in the winter -- just a few routine trips to give the car some exercise in the cold months. The tires rarely saw snow as I stuck to the plowed streets. I pulled my records, and the tires have 620 miles on them. They were purchased in December 2008 for 772 Euro (around $900 at the time) plus tax. The specs are:
I'll take any reasonable offer for the set of 4. In terms of shipping, I don't have suitable boxes so I'll go to some place like the UPS Store and get them packed up, and then I'll find out shipping prices, and you can choose the best shipping option. So shipping and packaging will be at cost. Alternatively, I'd be willing to drive up to 2 hours from where I am (Washington, DC area) and hand them over to you. I'm going to be doing some traveling the next 10 days, but I wanted to get this up as I know winter is fast approaching for many people. I'll check my account while I'm gone, and the best offer (a combination of price and convenience for me).. or actually any reasonable offer gets it. I'll decide once I return from my trip. |

Back from my trip so bumping this thread. Maybe it's already winter in the climates where such tires are useful. Anyway, if anyone is interested, just let me know. I can have them shipped out with a day's notice, now that I'm back in town.

They fit fine on the stock wheels I have. Attached is a picture of my car and the wheels I have, though with summer tires. |

Ameeriklane,
Just an fyi about shipping tires… UPS or Fedex will ship reasonably clean tires without boxes. You just slap the shipping label on and wrap a few turns of clear tape over the label. You'll get the best rate by strapping two tires together side by side and sending each pair as a shipment.

Yes, as of the moment, they're still available. Open to offers.
I'll try to go to UPS this week and see if they're OK with shipping without boxes and the price for that (another person requested this information so might as well find out). |

I stopped by UPS and FedEx today to get price quotes. Neither was keen on bundling two tires together without a box. I got a quote to ship to the Chicago area, and FedEx was cheapest at about $110, and that is for shipping each tire individually and unboxed, by ground, with expected arrival in 2 days.
So if anyone is interested, I'm open to offers. I'm headed out of town on Monday afternoon but I'd definitely be able to take care of things before that and get them shipped off. Early Christmas gift!

Was doing some work around the house this weekend and remembered I still have these.
Winter's approaching. Anyone interested? To make it easy, I'll just include shipping in the price. $375 shipped anywhere in the continental US. |
