255 will be too wide on the rear most likely. 245's rub...and if you are going for AX competition then you probably want light weight and a broader choice in tires sizes. I'd go with Volk CE28's in 15/16. They are super light and there are way more tire options available in those sizes.

I just saw that the Rota wheels are available in 17X7.5 and 18X8.5 for the elise/exige. The Dunlop Star Spec tires are available in 215/40/17 and 255/35/18's which would look great and keep almost the same diameters as the stock tires. They look great and would be perfect for a street/ autocross car (I will be running SM2). The problem is, the cheapest I found the wheels was $1500 for the set from a vender that specializes in Lotus. Any chance we could get a group buy for these sizes?? I know I plan to get a hyper silver set but I don't want to pay that kind of money. If not, can anyone give me a contact so that I could possibly get a better price.
Thanks,
Burt
You probably don't want to search for "hass turbo" on here. And you probably don't want to tell anyone you have one. Congrats on having a car he touched that still runs though.

Thanks for the info - I got the PM. As long as you let the vendor know about this there shouldn't be any problems.

One side installed...

Received mine last night and didn't have the patience to wait until the weekend to see what they looked like. Here are a couple shots. Sorry for the quality…

Anyone going with Flaken RT-615's? Anyone use them before? I was thinking of going with 215/45/16 and 235/40/17.
What kind of tire and sizes is everyone else going with?

I didn't go too crazy with the width and went with 205/50/16 and 225/45/17 Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1

Yep - I am sending you a PM with the vendors phone number. Please have the person that is buying your set call him directly.

If you still have problems let me know and I will call the vendor for you.

Rota's on Saffron Yellow

Here are my pix. I just got my car back (VF SC was installed).

I went with 205/45-16 and 235/40-17 Toyo R1R's. I'm pretty sure 245/40-17 would have fit & not rubbed on the wheel liner. Oh well, next set will be 245's.

Nice tire choice. I went with R1R's as well, but 245 in the rear. No rubbing here.
