Got mine yesterday and have it installed. Looks goods but I have 1 concern. The screw bladder mechanism doesn't seem to hold it as positive as I would of prefered. They hold it in good and its not about to come off but its got a little wiggle in it.
All in all I'm pretty happy with it.

I just checked the tracking information again, and it now shows that the package left their facility in Michigan today. It should arrive shortly. I'm not sure why it took them that long to update their tracking information... ![]() But it's all good ![]()

There shouldn't be much of a wiggle when everything is tight. Sure, the bracket is bolted to a fiberglass firewall, and that firewall does allow a little flex. But in Lotus terms it should all be pretty snug (definitely better than for example the passenger side window... )

If you have any of these brackets left I would like to purchase one (any colour or finish you have). I am new to this forum and have been looking for a mount (for a v. light DV camera) for my S2 Elise for ages. This looks awesome and perfect for the task. I am base in the UK (happy to pay whatever it takes for shipping) also have a US office which may be able to redirect the package - although would prefer being sent direct if possible. Please PM me with details. Thanks, -- --Dinan (spamspartan@yahoo.com)

I'm currently out of town, but I will take a look to see what it would take to ship to the UK, and I'll let you know. Steve

Just got mine and installed it, look amazing.
I have just one question, is it suppose to wobble a bit? I didn't follow the directions. I just loosen the screws a bit and stuck the whole thing on as it was from the box and then tighten it. Is this incorrect? Thanks |

I just got my black anodized radar mount today - the design, quality of manufacturing, and attention to detail is amazing; from the attached fasteners to the color pictures in the installation instruction.
Bravo Steve! Based on this bracket, I will place a standing advanced order for anything else Steve will make for the Exige in the future. |

Got the kit today. Marvelous!!
First thing I did is superglue the grommet, attach the screw and ended up driving the grommet right through the firewall ![]() Luckily I had attached the screw to it and was able to pull it out. Let that just be a warning to all.. don't push too hard on the grommet. P.S Does anyone know how I unglue my fingers that are now attached to each other. ![]()

recieved mine yesterday
I installed the mount in 5 mins. So simple and so nicely done Thanks!
A question I now have is how do I hard wire my detector? I have removed the detector from my windshield mount, I clipped the hard wire from inside the dash and that was run to a power source. Can I now hard wire this phone type wire to the interior light in some way? I see there is a red/green/black wire at the phone type connector end, which of these wires do I splice into the interior light wires? Can I use one of those clips that just connects the two wires together when closed? Or must I splice in line somehow each of these wires?? Please help! |
