If not, I am in.
I've never seen a mount which combines both functionalities.

I would assume that usually people run a camera at the track and a radar detector on the street.
So there is not really a need for this, unless you want to use your camera while running the twisties...

From what I can tell the Passport 8500 would fit as well.

The dimensions of the V1 are 4.5"(L) x 3.6"(W).
The Passport 8500 is 5.32" (L) and 2.85"(W).

So the width is not an issue at all.

The bracket extends 4 3/4" forward, measured from the rear window.

This should be absolutely sufficient to support it lengthwise.

That's thoughtful of you, Drool.

I'm still considering...

(of course, once your wife tells you it's time for the Elise to go, I figure I can always buy yours then.) j/k

Yes, it should be easy for you to just spray-paint it.
I know of one person who asked the same question and intended to paint it black a while back, but he changed his mind once he saw how well the brushed aluminum look goes with the rest of the car...

Yes I'm fully aware of the fact that you can paint it AFTER the fact. My question was direct to the person who is making the product, not to draw out sarcasm. You know, sometimes when i pay for something, I don't want to have to modify it afterward .. god can you imagine that? I must be getting old...

Mr. C, was just a thought. Guess I'll see when I get it.
