huh, that's weird ara...I know people report slight increased vibration at idle...but I did not experience any of that at all. In fact, my car was running smoother at idle, and my shifts were definitely smoother and "clicked" into place (I do have shift reenforcer as well and bollock)

Its probably because Ara has that 2bular blowpipe exhaust. That thing grunts even at idle. With that said, the engine mount and the mounted exhaust will cause the vibration of the clam to shift more aggressively.

Slightly more vibration at idle, but the cars feels a lot stiffer especially during shifts. I only have the shift reinforcer but these mounts made a huge difference in shifting, more precise........I like them!

my damn engine lid is squeaking behind my ear! It's actually sunken a little. Not sure how to raise it. Maybe an extra washer on each hinge?

For those of you that are experiencing unbearable vibration, can you make sure your front lower mounts are installed correctly! There are two small rubber taps on each side of the OEM rubber mount. The polyurethane insert have this tap indented into it. You have to line them up. I found some ppl installed this piece at a 180 degree offset, which is wrong. You can still install it that way but the insert will not be fully seated correctly and will cause more vibration that normal.

Ara - get one or two aluminum shims (per side) and place them in between the engine lid and the hinge. My S had the exact same fit from the factory.

Do one hinge at a time - just loosen it, the shims slip in. Make sure to mark the original location of the hinge with masking tape on two sides that are perpendicular to each other so that you can tighten the hinge in the exact same location after you have inserted the one or two shims per side. Talk to your dealer to get a few shims.

I was afraid of the vibration on Manly's mounts, so I ground the edges off of the inserts to allow a little rubber flex before the polyurethane contacted the steel. On my bench grinder I took off about 1/8 of an inch to allow a little movement. I did this all the way around, and I have minimal vibration, almost not noticeable. As I did not install them without the modification I cannot tell how much of an improvement. I am very pleased with these.

Checked the front mounts and were installed correctly, must be the new mounts + the exhaust causing added vibration.

I installed these mounts last week. There is somewhat increased vibration at idle, but not enough to make any (new) noises. I do notice a little more shudder starting out from a total stop. But, at the track last weekend, the mounts were a HUGE improvement, particularly in corners that required downshifts. I no longer had to wait for that half second for the engine to stop moving around to get securely into gear. The whole brake/downshift/back on throttle process was seamless, and I loved how solid the transmission (and whole car) felt! I was raving about the mounts to the other Lotus owners at the event. This is one of the best mods I have done to the car, and definitely a great bang-for-your-buck.

Mounts are in, car only shakes a little more at ~1200 rpm, so when taking off, and coming to a stop.

3rd is a hundred times easier to find at 7000+ RPM.

Love the mount inserts.

Got mine in last week and drove with them this weekend for the first time on the street. Did the shifter brace mod at the same time. Really like how these modes firmed up the shifting and throttle feel!

I just wanted to give a caution to anyone working on or changing the engine mounts. The Lotus Service Manual does not specify the bolt torques. Many people are using the torques that were listed in the installation instructions for Manly's inserts.

However, I think some of Manly's recommended torque settings are much too high (as evidenced by some damaged bolts when I did my installation). Over torqued bolts have a higher chance of breaking under load. See the following thread for alternative torque values and the rationale for them:
Engine Mount Bolt Torques

By-the-way, I installed Manly's inserts about two months ago and really like them.

I have my manly mounts installed. The car does vibrate a bit, to me its not a big deal and is not noticeable at cruising or highway speeds. I also have a Janspeed Stage II and Piper Cams installed and the vibration is more than tollerable.

The acceleration and reduced engine movement are worth the extra vibration at idle.
