Does S240 come with different hoses, in terms of length?
Tried to install and all the hoses are too long and require cutting.
Did you guys had to cut the hoses to the right length or they were in right length?

We did that on purpose to make sure the hoses would be long enough...

I've seen the little hole where you bolt the bracket to in slightly different spots on various Lotus cars. I just attributed that to the hand-built nature of the car and provided extra hose just in case

Just installed mine last weekend! From the outside, these cans are VERY high quality - very impressed! Installation was quite easy, even for a anti-mechanic like me - until I dropped a wrench into the engine bay just as the sun was going down!

installed mine, it took a lot longer than I thought it'd be. the coolant hose is kind of long and is pushing the left can upward a little.

Forgive me if this repetitive...I have not read all the posts on this thread.

Is there a specific reason for the two cans other than the fact that there are two hoses coming from the motor? Is this in case you want to place the vent hose back on the intake?

Since they both seem to pick up in the same area and do the same thing, it seems that one could be plugged and the other routed to a more mass produced can with a universal bracket for less money with better looks.

I have even seen hi-polished cans with cnc brackets to match that would fit fine in our cars in many places as it seems they don't have to be mounted anywhere specific.

Ok here's an update.

After 3700 miles and one year of driving including 3 track days this is what was in both of my Saikou catch cans...

ONE TABLESPOON (15ml) of oil. That's it!

Remember that I'm supercharged pushing 230whp+ (260+ flywheel)...

Well if that is the case, then you can make the argument as to wether the catch can is even necessary or serves any benefit.

When Jay and I installed my Ronin Katana SC we were surprised at the amount of oil inside the stock intake manifold. That motivated me to order the catch cans.

Ha! My wife's a physician so I'm sure she would have noticed/advised me by now if that was the case!

Kind of. Oil in the intake can cause detonation, so it's still a good idea, especially when boosting such a high compression engine.

I seem to remember that it has something to do with two different vacuum sources that occur at different revs/loads. You can't connect them together and have things work properly.

The amount of oil he drained out is more then enough to coat the entire inside of the intake manifold.
