you can't compare one dyno to another... for some reason its impossible to calibrate them properly

It's more of an issue with the environmental factors (temp, humidity, airflow, etc.) than calibration IMO.

Is this offer still going?

What is the ID of the stock headers?
My Elise has a VF2 sc making 293whp (dynapack)...how much extra power should I anticipate? Would I most likely lose torque?

bcee: Yes this offer is still going

sleepe: I can mic it out when I get home (Sunday). In terms of gains... it really depends on the tune at your power levels. A good tuner can probably extract 20-25 horsepower. You can e-mail charliex and see what he thinks... he has maps for our headers. Actually Jermaine @ VF also has some experience tuning with our header so he may also be a good resource to ask.

One more thing... I was guessing on the weight savings in the past. I put both the stock setup and our header on a mail scale this Wednesday and show a whopping 7 lb, 2 oz difference with our sport cat and 9 lbs with our test pipe!

That's almost worth the cost alone to take the weight off of the back of the car and up high on the engine

Anyone else? Some people spend a lot more $$$ just to remove this much weight from their car!

Interested since I'll be getting a dyno and possibly a re-tune end of year...

With the header pipes being so long, how far in can they coat the insides?

The header is coated 100% on the inside and the outside. HPC/nCoat has a special nano-coating process that allows their product to stick to the metal at a molecular level.

I'll up the ante by offering a Fall sale

Anyone that orders one in October or November will get an additional $50 off!

That price can't be beat for a hand-made, built in the USA header... it has all sorts of anti-cracking features built into it as well so you don't have to worry about replacing it as a seasonal item like some of our competition

Is it necessary to have this headers thermal coated? And do you have any movie/sound clip? Thanks.

Need - no. If you want to realize more power, Yes. Pending other components on the car, you can gain 10-20 wHP.

I'm banging on my Weapon-R right now, trying to break it so I can justify this

Thermal coat is not necessary. About the only area of concern is after the header - $50 heat wrap works fine if you don't mind the looks. I prefer a good thermal coat (good as in will last upto 1500-2000 degrees). But EGT rarely reaches 1400 even at the track (normally around 1300-1350).

I would highly recommend it. So much so that we don't even have a markup on the coatings. It gets REALLY hot back there in the Lotus and with the exhaust being so close to the fiberglass clamshell it would be wise to get the coating done. I've had both on my car (coated, non-coated) and it truly makes a huge difference in how hot your boot gets.

If you are supercharged then I would say a tune is necessary. Our headers change the VE enough to cause the ECU to start to "drift". This is way more prominent on SC'd cars than NA... my NA car retained it's gains for several thousand miles and a few track days.

Here are some vids:

Sorry for the microphone clipping in the second vid...
