2006 Club111 Southeast Regional Meet Now Merged

This is a heads up.

By weeks end, I will be announcing a HUGE Southeast regional event for October 2006. This event will be the follow-up to last years very successful Tail of the Dragon event. This years event will again feature Lotus Cars USA/ UK attendance. We will also be offering exciting activities which will appeal to the Lotus owner and enthusiast as well as perhaps their less enthusiastic partners.

This event will be OPEN TO ALL LOTUS OWNERS. Club111 members will receive a discount.

I do recognize that this event will come on the heals of LOG. I want to publicly urge all Lotus folks to attend LOG if they can. It is a superb event and is worth the trip. Our dates for this event were set-up over a year ago and the overlap (same month) wasn't foreseen at the time. The good news is that you can still go to both events and those east coasters that can't make it to Texas, can take advantage of this opportunity to spend time with fellow enthusiasts closer to home.

Details to follow shortly.......................

October 24, 25 and 26th will be the dates for the event. I'm working on the track day on either the 23rd or the 27th.

Again, I want to encourage people to goto LOG as well. I certainly want as many people to attend this event as possible but certainly not at Lotus Ltd.s expense. The events don't actually overlap so people could make it to both. Of course I think this event is going to be awesome.

Our official announcement will be posted Friday.

Bill, I love Kershaw, the short straights and lots of turns allowed me to have a blast on the 250 two stroke nsr I rode.

Chris, I don't know nothin' 'bout ridin' no bikes, but for cars, CMP indeed sucks. It's sandy, flat, ugly, in the middle of nowhere, and will destroy your brakes. The front half of it is okay, but the back part is a series of short straights, hard on the brakes for a constant radius turn, repeat x4. Not much fun and gets boring pretty quickly. One friend of mine says he'd like to blow it up and then piss on the ashes!

One question: Discount on what? Dinner? Last year that was the only thing that cost anything, right? I assume you mean the track day, but you said this before discussing the track day.

Josh,

I'll be posting tonight or at latest tomorrow. The discount will be for the event (which is really just to cover our food, goodies bag, associated expenses) and for the track day. This year's event has more activities, better food and an incredible venue. For a guide, look at the WCLM.

Drat! You have to promise you'll do this again next year! I'm headed to Las Vegas for SEMA right after this and can't afford the time off.
