Registration is only $125 per person if you sign up before Aug 15th.

Cheers,
Kiyoshi

Hey Coi, I know a few of us are going up from San Diego. I have a thread about that. We intend on getting up there for the driving event. Some details to work out still, but considering driving up the gold highway 49 on the way up, and down Highway 1 on the way back.

Yes, it is $125 (early bird) per person. Nearly all the costs for the WCLM are for the meals, awards, insurance, concours, adminstration and such. The driving events, autocross and tours have virtually no cost. So, rather than have like a $10 difference between non-drivers and drivers it was much easier to have a single registration fee.

In fact the reason the time trials are optional is because there is a real cost for that event and we didn't want to make non-drivers pay. So, non-drivers (ie spectators) are free to watch at the Time Trials.

Make sense?

Cheers,
Kiyoshi

We have had three west coast conventions in Portland, in conjunction with the All British Field Meet, in 1993, 1996, and 2003. These were held at Portland International Raceway at Delta Park near the Columbia river.

If demand is there, I'm sure there will be one again in the future.

One more week....

2008 West Coast Lotus Meet – October 2 - 5

Time is running out to take advantage of the Early Bird registration for the 2008 West Coast Lotus Meet! Register by August 15 and registration per person is only $125 (goes up $162 per person August 16 on).

The 2008 West Coast Lotus Meet (WCLM) will be held October 2-5, 2008 in Canyonville, Oregon. The Golden Gate Lotus Club will host the 3-day event with assistance from other Lotus clubs on the west coast.

The WCLM is set-up to be the ultimate Lotus experience for the loyal Lotus enthusiast. The WCLM is perfect for the Lotus enthusiast who loves to drive.

The 2008 WCLM will be headquartered at the Seven Feathers Casino Resort and Hotel. Special rates have been negotiated for WCLM entrants.

Thursday, October 2nd
The fun begins with an Opening Reception at the WCLM hotel, Seven Feathers Casino Resort Hotel in Canyonville, Oregon on Thursday October 2nd.

Also on Thursday, October 2nd will be an optional Solo I style time trials on a closed track at the Jackson County Sports Park in White City, Oregon about an hour’s drive from Canyonville. The tight twisty course will challenge drivers to find the quickest way around.

Friday, October 3rd
Friday begins with a private tour of the CD Lumber Company, the largest producer of cedar lumber products in the U.S. You’ll then have a choice of touring to Crater Lake or to the incredible Oregon Coast. We end with an amazing and exclusive riverside Bar-B-Que of ribs and chicken on a private ranch.

Saturday, October 4th
The day opens with the WCLM Autocross. This is an opportunity for every WCLM entrant to enjoy their Lotus near its limits. The WCLM Autocross will run all day. Or, you can opt to go on a wine tour of some of the finest wineries in North America.

Saturday evening will open with the WCLM cocktail hour followed by the WCLM Banquet at the Seven Feathers Resort. After the WCLM banquet you can see the Cabaret show (the WCLM will reserve an entire show just for our delight!) or entertain yourself by trying your luck at one of the slots, card tables, craps or poker games.

Sunday, October 5th
The 2008 WCLM will conclude on Sunday October 5th with the WCLM Concours and Awards Picnic. The WCLM Concours will be set among tall pines and fir trees.

And after the WCLM awards are announced you’ll sadly have to say good-bye to all your WCLM friends, but the memories and stories will last a lifetime.

There’s more information and registration at GOLDEN GATE LOTUS CLUB - Lotus Car Club. Register today and take advantage of the Early Bird Discount Registration.

The all in one registration fee includes Concours, Reception, Picnic, Bar-B-Que, Autocross, Tours, Saw Mill Tour and Cabaret show. There is a separate fee for the optional WCLM Time Trials.
