Talking 6TH ANNUAL MOTOR 4 TOYS! DECEMBER 6, 2009

You bring a toy for charity and you join hundreds of sports cars and exotics from all over Los Angeles...

Last year we had 30 Lotus cars - let's have even more this year!

The meet is at 21555 Oxnard Street, Woodland Hills, California. Sunday, December 6, 2009.

I'll get there early and save a big spot for Lotus cars...

Be sure to register early, right here:

Staging in the parking lot up on ventura worked out really well last year we should do it again this year so we can all park together as much as possible in a Lotus section. I wonder if any Evoras will be in the US by then ? I will look up the location and address of the parking lot we met at and post here

This is not strictly an exotic and sports car meet, last year there were a lot of Mustangs in the show, he should be fine.

Here's a letter I just received from Dustin, the man in charge of this great event!

Dear Friends, The 6th Annual Motor4toys Charity Car Show is upon us! We have had a very strong registration so far, but considering this economy, we could really use a little help on all ends. The single most important function of this event is to help as many children as possible during the holiday season. We can do this many different ways:

1. I would ask that you would forward this email and attached poster to all of your friends and colleagues.

2. I would ask that you also post on your favorite forum and rally as many people as you can.

3. I have absolutely ZERO pull with the media and celebrities; it has always been a weak point. If you have any contacts, please forward them the info and help us get some exposure, which will help us in years to come.

4. If you have a business or a location to put up a toy collection box, I will supply it.

5. Some people have had "Motor4toys" dinner parties at their houses and have asked guests to bring toys instead of wine or food.....

6. As always, we need sponsors. The more products we have donated, the more toys we can buy. If you can donate any product, from raffle items, to bottled water and soda, it would be of great help. Or, if you have a relationship that my help us in attaining such product, please let me know.

7. We have also expanded Motor4toys to include some local schools: Chaparral Elementary and Calabasas High have joined in to help! If you have a child in school and they would like to help, please let me know.

A few updates:

-City Councilman Dennis Zine who is a long time supporter of Motor4toys will be bringing $5000.00 worth of toys to the event and has agreed to be Santa at the event!

-Motorcycles are welcome! We are opening the event to bikes as well. If you have friends who ride, let them know. We will have a separate parking area for the bikes.

-A few years ago, Justin Friedman suggested doing a "toy run" to Toys R Us to buy toys, I am working closely with LAPD to make this happen. You will receive an email in the next couple of days if you wish to join us, it is great fun...all of us at Toys R Us buying toys! Trust me, you will love it.

I am always open to ideas on how to make this event better, please feel free to contact me if you have any suggestion.

Thank you all, without you, we could not do this. And as always it is 100% charity and volunteer driven.

All the best,

Dustin
