Crystal Cove 11-5-05

It was a beautiful day today at Crystal Cove. There were a lot of interesting cars there today, as well.

A couple of Smart cars. I'm not sure if these were ZAP cars or someone else brought them in. One had an "intereting" paint job (actually, it looked very good), chromed wheels and an exposed aftermarket exhaust (like some have done with the Elise).

Three Nobles!

There were three Nobles there today. One GTO 3R, one M400, both dark blue and one black one I forgot to check on the model. One of our Esprit friends has a dark blue M400 on order to be delivered any day now. Gee, even Nobles are getting commonplace.

In the background of one picture is a chrome orange-like TT that is awesome.

Lot's of Ferraris...some nice rare ones

There were a ton of Ferraris there today. More than usual and some particularly interesting ones.

Two F40s and an F50 which we got to see tear down Pacific Coast Highway at full tilt. Nice...

Afew more Ferraris

Here is a new Super America which is usually here every week; what appears to be a 275GTB (but with no front fender gill vents?); and a 356GTB Daytona race car.

A couple of older Corvette race cars

Both with big block engines, one is a 454, don't know about the other one.

McLaren Mercedes SLR

Can't really see much of the engine even though the front end is huge...typical these days.

(Yes it's legally parked in a handicap spot.)

This is NOT your father's Oldsmobile!

Strange lavender color and street driven.

Thanks Chris.

The alarm rang at 6:45am. I turned it off apparently and went back to sleep.

To bad...you missed a great day. As far as I know, though, I had the only Elise there and it was in the parking lot. There was a yellow Esprit there, an S4, that we didn't know who the owner was. I had not seen it before.

That first pic is my buddy's F40 - It was in the shop getting supped up for the past year.

The other F40, the guy just got this past week.

The 288 that was there is my favorite....... The owner was nice enough to let me drive it last year - It has F40 turbos on it.

I missed the 288 when I was there...just too much eye candy. I didn't notice it until I was posting the pictures and saw it in the background. It is one of my favorites, as well.
