BTW: The White S1 Exige has a VW 1.8T in it...

Is that a real Exige? It has a Motorsport front clam with Exige splitter. Obviously missing the rear wing.

Just wondering if this is an Elise that's been "modified".

there is quie a few cars out here that start life as an elise then have the mototsport/ exige clams fitted, so yes quite possibly.

Having owned a S1 Exige for 4 years I'm aware of the clam swaps that happen, that's why I asked.

It was a salvage Exige that this young gent has been hooking up. He works for a salvage yard so has built the car from parts he was able to find/afford. It looks great.
