Dyno Day

Im trying to get a set date for this now, how is Saturday May 17th ? Who would be interested ?

We were planning to have a dyno day at the shop come early spring time with the mr2 guys. We should have a good turn out with some nice turbo mr2's. You guys are also more than welcome to come and get the same deal - 3 pulls - $60.

Please let me know if your interested and which weekend would be the best for you. We are going to have it on a Saturday, in either March or April depending on how the weather pans out (i know a lot of you guys put the cars away for the winter).

We are on Long Island, in NY, roughly an hour from NYC. Our address is:

1139 Station Rd.
Medford NY 11763

http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=ny...139+Station+Rd.

We hope to see you all there!

Just wanted to bump this up a little since we are getting just a little closer.

If anyone is interested just post it up here and let me know what dates will be good for everyone.

So i'd like to get a short list going if anyone can commit to this date otherwise i'll set a later date for sometime in May.

This will probably be an MR2/Lotus day so there will be plenty of cars for everyone to check out even if you dont want to get yours strapped down.

I'll come in for another dyno.

Just had one at a different shop this past weekend during another event. Figured I'd test the exhaust to see if any hp/torque were gained. It put down 195rwhp and 136 ft/lbs on a Mustang.

I think it'll be a good idea to do another one on the same dyno as my baseline.

I got it when I stock exhaust popped off one night. I said screw this, I'm not getting under there to fix it. If I'm getting into it, I'm getting an exhaust.

It's actually not so bad. I've taken a lot of trips from NY to PA since installation of the exhaust and it's not unbearable. It's loud in 2nd cam, but it's like music. I'm driving around looking for tunnels. (I'm just kidding). But I did take the Holland last weekend and I think I scared a lot of people. My girlfriend actually said she loves the humming and the sound. She said it was soothing to her.

Glad you bumped this. A bunch of the Lotus guys are coming including ScottyB, Stan M, MB SC Elise, and probably a few others including me.

I'll bump it in the regional section.

I am very interessted. What's the name of the shop? There's also a Lotus run out east to one of the Wineries. Is any body planing on going. It too bad it coincides with this get together.

I didn't hear about this via my MR2 buddies (maybe it was only on Spyderchat?). Do you want me to cross-post on MR2OC in our regional forum? I know there's demand for a dyno day in our region...

I didn't plan on it, but since you are fairly close, I plan on stopping by. I do want to get my AWD Celica dyno'd so I can get a baseline number... What kind of dyno is it, is it AWD? If not, I guess I'll bring the Exige.

I believe it's a AWD dyno bro. I though you were going to keep your altrac stock?

That would be great!

I am keeping my celica "pretty much" stock. Minor suspension stuff (I'm 1/2 way done) and I have a 2.5" DP and exhaust that I have waiting to go in, and that's it. But I'm just curious what the ol' 3SGTE cranks out base (maybe I don't wanna know >< )... You gonna be there?
