Not sure about International airport (thats prob. Knoxville) but the closest tarmac is the Magee/Tyson airport in Maryville, Tn. (about an hour away from Fontana) from what we have seen it's a medium-large facility, looks to take the smaller passenger liners and large personal jets but nothing real big. Are you guys flying in?

Aren't you going to LOG28? It's only a few hours down the road from Indy. Too bad they aren't closer together date wise.

It's not so much that you only live once, it's more that you're dead for so very long afterwards.

We hadn't estimated quite so much interest this soon, we will get with Fontana this week to get things squared away for everyone, sorry bout that we thought we would have more time before everyone really began making serious plans to attend.

I have talked to Fontana Village and saved about 30 rooms for the event. Please call Debbie Rich at 800- 849-2258. She will have the block prepared. The rooms vary in price but we recommended that everyone get the garden suites that are pool level and are all grouped together. The block will be under Fox Valley Motorcars when you call. By signing up for the dragon slayer club, we will get 25% off the rooms and costs no additional money, so it is well worth it. I am glad to see such a strong interest already and hope that we see all of you come June. Let me know if you have any further questions in regards to hotel or otherwise.

Thanks,

Bill Nuccio Jr

I'm reserved

Mike & Melissa Dempsey, 1 car

Above is mentioned "Garden Suites" that are poolside. The reservations desk said they don't have such a thing, but that FVMC block out standard rooms poolside at $74.25 / night. That's what I got. Is that right?

Hey Mike, it should be right, Debbie and I have been playing phone tag due to the Holiday, Ill make sure she gets you in the right spot if there is a prob. I should get with her by the end of next week, they are not exactly high strung and on the ball down there, things kinda run at there own pace, tends to be frustrating when you are trying to plan these things.

Garden units D and C, the poolside cabanas, and lower building behind them should be what is reserved for our group. That is where you may be placed, did you want by the pool? Here is a link to the map to give the general idea. We are trying to set up kind of a Club Lotus Frat House type setting in the garden units where it will be just our group in the rooms/area and the parking lots belong to us alone. Page two of the link is the veiw of the rooms and buildings. Pm me with where you want to be and Ill let her know when I finally catch her at work.

Exclamation Fontana rooms are ready

Mrs. Rich has reserved the proper rooms for our group in the:

Garden Units C and D
Poolside Cabanas
Lower Cabana Building facing C and D
(24 of 30 are left as of this date)

Contact the Reservations desk at 1-800-849-2258 and remind them you are with the FVMC event to ensure you get your discount and they place you in the correct area on property. We will be following up with them prior to the event to ensure everyone is in the right buildings and no one is separated from the others (unless specifically requested that way by the guest in question)

Reminder: Guaranteed room reservations for our group expire on March 15, 2008 and you cannot be promised a room (especially in the right place) after that time (we will try to extend the date in when it comes for those of you who are procrastinators, but plans should be made to attend prior to that time to ensure your room location.)

Any questions just PM me.

Room/Event registered as of this date 01-17-2008:

Bill Nuchio Jr. - 1 Car/2 people
The Miller Family - 4 Cars/4 people
The Dempsey Family - 1 Car/2 people
The Bisbee Family - 2 Cars/2 people
John Gill - 1 Car/1 person

Total: 9 Cars/11 people

Thanks for the update Jeremy. I have talked to several people and just waiting on everyone to reserve their rooms. Get on it people. Do not wait till the last minute. June time frame Vs our previous October date is quite a bit more busy. They will fill up for these dates, so if you have not made your reservations yet, you know what to do.

I am looking forward to getting back down there (on a dry Dragon) in June. For those that are local. Be sure to check out our Spring Fling to Galena in April. Otherwise, I will see the rest of you in TN.

Yee Haw!!

Hey guys, we had the hotel contact you because we didnt know if you were really in our group or they had made a mistake. We hadnt had a post up that you were comming so we wanted to be sure. The list is updated now, nothing formal needs supplied to us (we are keeping track with the hotel) we are just trying to keep a car and head count to set up reservations for dinners during the trip and know how many we have so everything comes off without any problems. See you guys soon
