its called the orchid inn....here is their website:

they have 5 rooms left at $169.. deluxe king with fireplace, may have more rooms if the renovations are completed by mid october. The gentleman I spoke with said he did not anticipate the rooms to be finished by the 25th, but we'll see!!

if the Orchid is less than 2miles away from Best Western then im in there, if not im gonna have to pass, its a lotus trip so i want to be where all the other Lotus people are gonna be

will try to map the hotels and reserve a room ASAP

I booked a room at the Best Western. I did not have to give them any special names (Rachel's name) to book the room. If you have AAA, make sure you tell them and save some money.

I booked a room at the Orchard Inn....it's just down the street from the Best Western....3 miles from Hearst castle....can't wait!

this is going to be really fun!!
i think we should leave early saturday morning,
have lunch in cambria,
arrive at the castle around 2pm (our tours start at 2:20)
check into the hotels after the tours (around 4:30-5ish)
have a sunset twisties drive,
then get some dinner.
on sunday we could go to solvang on the way back down, we could go to a winery in paso robles, morro bay, etc.

can we get a head count started?
will there be any norcal people joining us?
