Count me as a maybe. I've got the time available, but I just had knee surgery two weeks ago. I assume that I'll be able to drive OK by then, but I'll wait awhile to be sure before I commit 100%.

Thanks,

Joe

Question - it was mentioned early on that we might get a special or behind the scenes tour because of a friend who worked at the castle, is this still the case? Are we going to get a special parking area and tour or is the plan just to park in the normal lot and do the normal tour? If it is just the normal parking / tour then I am probably out as I have been there, done that at least 4 times

Probably we'll park with HUGE SUV's with SCREAMING BRATS opening the doors with their feet, smashing the edges of the massive door edges into our fragile Lotus cars. Soccer moms' Minivans will smash into our clams leaving them into cracked slivers. Then, the haters will purposely spill soda pop all over the paint an key the Lotus pristine surfaces! We'll find our cars melted in the parking lot in an oozing blob of fiberglass and aluminum!

The parking lot is actually really nice and massive and I parked my Elise there a few months ago briefly when I was in the area and needed to take a bathroom break. The lower parking / reception area is like Disneyland now, with trams /souvenir shops and snack stands and hundreds of tourists standing in lines . It still would be nice to have our own protected parking if at all possible..... and again if it is the standard tour, I am out, have done it way too many times.

I've just booked the Orchid Inn for Saturday night October 25th (Saturday)!
This will be a great trip!

Are leading the group on the road, Rachel?
What's the +1, +2 and +3 mean???
I thought it was how many humans in each Lotus.
How can Coi get THREE HUMANS in his Lotus? Isn't uncomfortable?

Orchid Inn

Here are the people who have reserved a room in Orchid Inn:

1. Win
2. Gary
3. Eddie
4. Hal & Terry

Any others?

I'll bring the WINE!

Win: I can't find a rendesvous point for Orange County people because I don't live in OC! I live in Ventura County, 90 miles north of you!

I like Terri's Cafe in Agoura Hills at 7pm for our starting point, it's close for a lot of Lotus owners. Besides, GREAT BREAKFASTS!

o.k. it seems that a meeting point around south El Monte may be between us all near the 605/60 Interchange...I'll look for a place around there if it's o.k. with you guys.
