I dont think they like too much revving at SR, don't wanna get kicked out since there are apartments above the SR stores and in the back behind us

Plus a few drivebys would be better....

It's getting later and later - last time there wasn't much of anything until the Porsche group showed up around 10:30am... But I should be there 9:30ish. The car is still kind of clean

We need to find a tunnel for the sound-off, guys

I agree keeping it low key is a good idea. That reving I did was a one time shot. I did not even hit 5k when reving and it was still loud.

You can hear it first hand when I give you a ride.

I know just the tunnel. It is frightening hearing it in the tunnel I am almost afraid of causing an accident...seriously

Yes! A tunnel! Let's do it.

Claus, is your car "clean" or are we talking relative to what I've seen in the past? hahahha!

I'll aim for 9:30

I've been thinking about it. Are you gonna head out there? I'd love to check out the supercharger. I've been seriously considering making the leap.

I'll update the A/C thread once I have the part number that needs replacing, but for now I've been told that they need to replace a "pipe" that has some sort of schrader valve on it. I was told that there are pipes on both high pressure and low pressure sides and that it's the low pressure side that's leaking.

I can only hope that this will FINALLY fix my A/C woes since my car goes out of warranty in November. 3 times a charm????????

I asked the advisor if he knows anything about the "bad cam" in the Elise and whether Lotus has the vin range narrowed down. He told me he would check with Dave Simkin. We'll see if he gets back to me with an answer.

hey Kevin,

Actually, you could have hit the nail on the head. I rarely use the A/C since I always drive with the top off anyway. Combine that with the fact that I drive the car about once a month and someone could probably deduce that the a/c is failing due to a lack of use!
But then again, this latest failure doesn't sound like it's due to a lack of lubrication. If the seals had gone bad again then I would guess that the lack of use could be an issue, but then again, even a lack of use shouldn't cause any failures in such a short time!

fingers crossed that this will be it!

have fun at SR guys! I'll catch you guys next time...

Went out to S-R today and had the pleasure of experiencing 2-Y's supercharged Elise. Thank you for the ride. The whine is definitely something that could become very addicting. And yes, I will confirm at wot it is insanely loud as it is now. Although 2-Y's informed me that the car has since quieted down considerably after re-installing the sport cat. I could only imagine what it was like before............

NP my pleasure...
Without the cat it blew 125 db. It is being reworked to bring it down to track acceptable levels.
