I reccommended this event to a couple of track adict coworkers as a relaxed sat morning way to see some interesting cars. Apparently on the day they went several lambo guys were reving their engines obnoxiously and nobody wanted to go on a drive afterwards. Now i'm labled as being part of the 'poser' crowed.
![]() But oh well... I haven't been down in a long time. I'll try and make it this saturday. -dom

Kevin, a dirty Lotus? What, have you been hanging out with Claus???? HA!
I'd love to make it out there but I have kid events in the A.M. I have to attend. Hopefully make it out soon for a nice drive afterwards. Larry, keep me posted on when you want to go on a drive after the SR event. Claus, are you carrying back any nice Lotus bits from Japan? |

Just a little pre-announcement here so you can mark your calendars.
The May "meeting" of the GGLC will be held Saturday, May 17, and it will feature a late morning drive from SR through some of the East Bay hills. The drive will end with a BBQ at a member's home in Danville. There will also be a photo opportunity and sampling stop at a local winery during the drive .

It seems like it's been ages since I went to a Santana meet but this saturday I'm going to try to stop by (probably with a coworker and his 911, hopefully the Lambo guys won't rev their engines to make me look like a member of the poser crowd
j/k). |

Should I? The exchange rate sucks... Looks like I have some time to go shopping on Saturday before my flight leaves.
Car is still not washed - I am on a record-setting attempt HAHA. Last time I went to SR a couple of people said something like "is yours the one that is OBVIOUSLY used daily?" ![]() |

Have been thinking of doing more of a drive then a meet. Over Mt Hamilton and into Livermore. Most of May is already taken. May 3-4th looks pretty good. Since Titin made the suggestion, June 14-15 also works. On my own would head out around 7:30. As a group drive meeting at SR, say at 9 am and on the road by 9:30. Let me know if there is much interest and I'll start a new thread.
For the fall, might repeat this and see if John from Forcedfed could host us in Livermore... or June is out far enough could give it a shot then. |

For those of you driving from San Francisco, I have a few TeamSpeed members meeting at my place at 8:30 am tomorrow. We plan to drive to SR, hang out a bit, and then do a nice drive. I think through the Santa Cruz Mtns. Please email me if you would like to drive down together. sorinne@yahoo.com .

14 Lotus! Nice turnout.
Whoa... anybody else see the accident? I left at 11am. Just outside of SR, on the winchester entrance ramp to 280 north ... a yellow porsche had wiped out and took out a steel lamp post. Driver looked fine; was out of the car and on the phone so I didn't stop... but I had to crunch over pieces of scattered 911 bits on the roadway. Lamp post was down and laying in the shoulder. I think this was the yellow porsche that left the SR meet around 10:50am about the time the SF lotus contingent left. Anyway, good to see you all. Lots of interesting mods. Dark Blue Lotus: Love the purple caliphers. ![]()

I feel like an idiot for missing this one.
But at least I got one last weekend of snow.
