Matt, there is a shot of my engine cover open so others could see the Fujita intake. yeah, not much to show off under our boots!
TinTin, you posted a pic of my 2bular! I gave PedalPounder and Nickargon a quick ride down Winchester so they could hear the 2bular. I think everyone gave me positive reviews on the sound, even one of the Ferrari guys! I'll have to email Jim to let him know his 2bular sound is a hit. Gotta say my "gotta have it" car has to be the 360CS (only until the 430CS is released of course). ![]() |

Weekly Santana Row meet: rules of conduct
As posted on other board by Nizam, here are suggested rules so we can continue on these meets and not be asked to leave the site:
If you absolutely have to share the experience of your new headers, mufflers, chip, turbo upgrade, etc. please take it away from the meeting location, observing the rules above while you're in the vicinity of Santana Row. Head out to the highway which is literally a minute away where you are free to exercise your poor judgement at your own risk of being prosecuted by the law. Don't spoil it for the rest of us.

Lol well was it you or some guy with a ferrari toward the end who revved his engine to the max? Sounded cool
was only for a second anyways heheI guess this means I better not break out any donuts next time - unless they're jelly filled Seriously though I thought everyone handled themselves well, or maybe I just showed up late and missed all the fun! Kind of odd though, that parking lot must really be tucked away, I'd have thought we might get a cop or two who might roll by to check on us, oh well See you next week ![]() |

FYI the guy who revved his car was the Cayman owner. I just checked the thread on Ferrari chat and apparently it put off some Ferrari owner(s). Actually it seems that some Ferrari owners are not pleased to see cheap Porsche (Boxster) and Lotus (Elise) mingle with them, they would prefer a Porsche CGT or even an Esprit (probably not as much as the CGT though).
http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sho...=109186&page=3 Anyway I can understand their point, we would probably feel the same way if some ricers were to show up Let's see if we are still welcome next week ![]() |

I'm sure we're welcome. This is not meant to be Ferrari only event.

You guys are all welcome. Don't be discouraged by some of the people on fchat.
This meet is for all of us! ![]() Quote:

personally I'd rather have a quick Lotus meet and then go for a spirited drive. Timing is everything with me and the family so I won't be able to make this upcoming Saturday's drive.
We need to get more drives together now that the weather has improved. |

In my mind, Lotus Elise, Exige, Esprit's, etc are all welcome. One of my great regrets is not having pulled the trigger on a Lotus Europa in my earlier days . I was on this board about 12-24 months ago (note my join date) when I was on the waiting list for a Elise and everyone was terrific. I think I'll be forgiven for choosing a CS instead, so I wandered away, but I still think the Loti are all very cool cars . |

This gathering won't be complete without the Lotus guys. I've seen the drives you put together and the meets you have. I would love to trade stories and driving routes with you all.
I'm actually considering an Exige as my interim "fun" car before my next Fcar. See you all this weekend! |

Glad you guys are starting to get meets up there. Seeing these kinds of cars in person isn't something every car enthusiast gets a chance of doing.
Seems like people are getting a little too caught up in "fixing" what cars will show up (and not show up). (i.e trying to get specific cars). Just let the event grow and gain some momentum. Eventually it'll attract the same broad range of cars that often show up at CrystalCove. |

thanks for bringing it out. Your CS made the 430 next to your car look staid in comparison. ![]() |

I was surprised to see some of those comments, who would be turned off to having a nice group of Lotus's tag along? It's not like we're going to steal the show away from these other guys, and besides that, a row of Lotus's is still going to turn a few heads. From what I've seen of our community so far, we have a nice group of people who have a lot of interest in both our own cars, as well as that of others - and we seem to have a fairly active group too Myself only being 21 y/o, heck even if I was older, for sport car/exotic fans we're all sporting a pretty damn sweet car. I had a blast checking out all the other types out there too. I can understand some people being turned off to the idea of ricers showing up, simply because it's hard to argue that they're in the same class - it just isn't the same... but I personally don't see why anyone with a genuine interest in this type of thing should be shyed away from it because they might feel like they have no place being there. Personally, I already told my parents when they die I'm getting a Lambo - all they did was smile and give me a We liked it, we had fun, and I'm sure there's more fun for everyone to be had. There's no need to get too worried about the types of people showing up, so long as they arn't causing a disturbance and have a genuine interest in other nice cars/people; I'm sure that everyone should be able to have a great time! That, and assuming the businesses don't get annoyed at their parking lot getting filled up, but it's 8 freaking AM are those places even open yet? And as for the people thinking that we might get a McClarren or a Saleen S-7 to show up, but that they might just keep driving when they don't see just all Ferrari/Lambo cars - I'd much rather look the car up on the internet and avoid meeting that a-hole. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to get to see the car in person, and even have a nice talk to whoever brought the thing in, but if I'm that desperate to see the car, I've already seen the ones at the dealer in Los Gatos; if they're too good for us, then I've already had my fix of seeing them in person. So... eh~ Not saying I wouldn't LOVE to see some of them! Those going next week/Lotus BBQ after it, see you next Saturday! |
