Normally, the meet is at 8:30 leave at 9, but it is going to be hot tomorrow too, so that may be a bit on the late side already

OK, this time we made the NSX hang in the back
![]() It's sort of hard to say because obviously we are not driving flat out and who knows who is the better driver (probably him), he does have much more seat time with his Atom and I have not got completely used to the Seven just yet, it is still scaring me (and I have the smaller motor ), so I am driving it a bit ham fisted Also the Atom has about a 100hp on my Seven and weighs about the same (Atom is 300hp, 7 is about 210hp- there is a 270hp motor upgrade), it must be just nuts because my car is a rocket ship as it is. That said, for the most part I was reasonably able to stay with him but he was able to pull away from me a bit on the uphill straights, and I was unable to shake him when he was behind me, it sure was fun trying though ![]() NSX driver said he brought a knife to a gun fight, but he was never too far behind. It's still a big car that is not set up for such slow tight roads. On more open roads I have little doubt that the NSX would be right there. Today was hot but sort of tolerable Here is some pics ![]() ![]() Sexy NSX ![]() You guys missed the Tesla that came to the meet this morning. Couldn't convince him to hit the canyons ![]() ![]()

Great drive after breakfast. All on my own. Fifteen Harley Hogs pulled over for me to let me pass, one at a time. I had to lean on the horn for every single one of them. They were traveling no faster than 15 MPH on a twisty road. Watching the Hogs drive in the on coming lane as much as they wanted really scared me. They weren't just touching the center line, but completely over it. After I passed all the psyco Hogs, ten minutes later I met a second group of Hogs heading in my direction. The lead Hog in the second group was completely in my lane when we met. I came the closest I ever have to having a head on collision.
The moral of the story is, many Harley bikers are very reckless on twisty roads. Since this happed at 2:15 in the afternoon, we should start the Sunday drive one hour earlier to avoid Hogs. Also mounting a video camera on the cars should be considered a must, to prove what hit you was in your lane and not the other way around. Chime in if you want to change the start time. |
