Where was everyone this morning? I know the Coffee Bean opened up a little late today, but only 2 Lotus showed up! Anyway the weather was great, and no cops but a few too many bicyclists in the canyons today.

I've been away for a few weeks, is this officially a Saturday drive now?

I am in.

I will be at the spot tomorrow... Can't say that I am into driving hard, crazy or too fast on the streets these days... but I absolutely need to go for a drive...

Hope to see some folks...

Also, thinking of doing a F1 brunch (last race of the season) next week Sunday at my place. PM me if you are interested in sharing some morning F1 cheers and tears...

I might be up for tomorrow, been on drives the past 2 weeks and still can't get enough, though would most likely be with passenger so not up for driving too crazy fast. The massive exotic run last week (20 or so cars) ended up at chart house, we slipped the valet $3 each and he let us park our own cars & all together. At around 11:30-12: the place was not crowded at all so was a fun lunch destination, food was pretty good.

Sorry for the short notice, but if any who are in the Pasadena area, or simply rather go Angeles Crest instead of Malibu, I am heading up to Newcomb's Ranch for breakfast at 8:30-8:45 tomorrow morning.

Meet at the Shell station just south of the 210 fwy/highway 2 offramp as usual.

Woke to a beautiful day and no one to play with... I understand since I have been busy the last three weekends.

Hope to see some of you next week.

We'll be meeting in the Marina for coffee, but not up for Malibu, it's super windy up there and on fire. :/

If it's not wet in the morning I may come out for a coffee but I think it would be best to stay out of the canyons for a while.

After 2 morning hockey games, I planning on driving through the Santa Monica mountains and taking some pictures, early Sunday afternoon.

They only do it once in a while. The news was posted in the Acorn, local Conejo Valley paper, trying to cut down on the accidents and racing. The Lost Hills sherrifs and CHP department had teamed together. While I typically ride through the canyons 1 to 2 weekend per week, I had only them them set-up camp once. As I rode by, there was a CHP officer in the bushes with a radiar gun who commented that he was going to give me a ticket for going too fast (I was on a bicycle) as I rode up Rock Store.

They typically are on Mulholland between Rock Store and Kanan. The rest of the time I had only seem them on the other stretches when a car is over the side.

I also see them more on Stunt and Piuma.

Speaking of which, I do remember this summer, there was 3 to 4 Lotus at the top of Mulholland and Lutusa, on one of you in a Green Lotus understeered one of the corners and went off the side of the road. Looked to be minor damage, car was on a 25-30% embankment in the dirt, the rest were just turning around. You can all this one of my sightings.

I think Mike was referring to the fact that much of Malibu burned down recently

In that case, rode up Rock Store/ Mulholland, Little Sycamore/ on down Decker, yesterday. There was no traffic, no smoke/ no fire/ no burned out areas/ (fire was on the LA Side from Las Virgences), roads were clean and clear.

Yep - I was talking about the fires.

In fact I didn't make it today anyway as I spent much of it at the vet. My big dog ran over my little dog chasing a squirrel! We thought he had broken her back – x-ray’s and many dollars later the verdict was soft tissue damage. Not the best way to spend a Sunday.
