I thought of following, but I didn't have time. I followed the suby's down to PCH, and then went home. I'll tell you, the Lotus drive would have been more exciting!

I ran into Rachel coming down from Stunt as I was on my way up to the overlook. I just drove the canyons for a bit then went and had some tea.

Got to keep it 100% British...except for the teeth part.

Oh, I saw 2 Ducati Desmodicis (the motoGP road legal racer)!!! (or however it's spelled) and a brand new Viper ACR.

Frank/Ronin came out today. I figured I needed to see just how fast 459hpw in an Lotus is. So I left my car at the Coffee Bean and jumped in the Ronin. Uh it's fast. Like really fast. The only other car that I've ridden in that's comparable is Randy's Noble. To be honest I wouldn't want to bet which is faster. Frank's cars a really well sorted out as far as suspension and both really get up and go. For the canyons I really wonder if there's a lot of unusable power. But the torque was amazing. The pull even in forth gear was incredible. I can't wait for Frank to get his bigger wheels to see if he can make more use of the power. I thought the turbo kick would be too violent and dangerous for the canyons, but it was really smooth. He's repainted his pink wheels, so that was a good thing too.

Yeah... that was me! They were just looking at my new mods boosting my hp to around 460 whp and torque to 350 lbft.

Oh, wait.... no... that was crazy Frank. Every time I see that frickin' car he's got another 50% more power! I think he's ultimately shooting for 1 lb/hp. Scary thing is... he might do it.

Oh... and that was kinda funny seeing Hal in his yellow Elise trailing that mile long line of Subes - TRAITOR!!!

BTW, anyone know about those photographers shooting us coming up the canyon? Or where the pics might be?

Hey Dan: Try Flickr: Capfacsurf's Photostream I see them out there when I ride up to the top of Rock Store. They have a few thousand on the site - have fun scrolling through all of them!

Thanks for the link Steve! And nice to meet you. Good luck with whatever you end up with - any car, from the Elise to the S500 (or whatever Frank's got it up to) is amazing to drive in the twisties.
