Yeah, I guess east coast doesn't play. THese laws are bullsh*t, they should federalize speed limits. 65 on place 55 another. Who the f drives 55? Certainly no one drive 65 in CA. Amazing...

hire a traffic lawyer out there.

Dude, I called CA DMV, VA DMV, Ventura court, Norfolk court...no one knows wtf is going on if my ticket gets transferred to CA or not, if I can take traffic school or not.

So, I found a traffic lawyer out there. I'm just going to pay him like $300 to fight for me. Hoping for dismissal or even a reduction to a zero point offense. I'm going to go to traffic school anyway and fax him the slip so he can show the judge (but not submit) that I'm doing all I can to resolve the issue. I don't want to waste the traffic school on this. I sent him my record also. My last conviction was in 2004. So he'll tell him that too. We'll see...

What sucks is I was not really speeding the whole trip except for this one moment when I pulled out to pass a truck and I was driving my friends very modded and very fast Subaru, so I am guilty as charged.

Don't know if it will show on my license, every seems to think not, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
Probably not worth the hassle for me to fight it though (and for that reason, I am sure the second he saw a CA license any chance of getting out of it went out the window.)

Sorry - missed you.

I did see the band but wasn't expecting to see anyone I know all dressed up in funny outfits at that time of the morning! (brilliant band though - we sat and listened just over the road at Pete's)

wow, this is a big LT out of town pullover week. I had a roadside conference with the local constabulary from Suffolk County on my way out to the Hamptons on Friday. he nailed me for 85 in a 55, which explains why everyone was going so damn slow on the L.I.E. anywho, courtesy towards the officer, pleading tourist ignorance and driving an unmodded rental car got me off the hook with a stern warning and a good steak house recommendation in Riverhead

Don't know, I haven't even looked at the ticket yet, been too busy working here and getting together with old friends. I'll deal with it when I get back

if interested, please let me know; i'm guessing MDR around 8:30 and up at stunt by 9:10. and unlike sundays, i won't be lallygaggin around waiting for people.

i'll check this post later tonite and in the morning.

access to outlook at stunt still closed as of this morning. i suppose if you were daring and in a 'normal' car, you could make it over the gravel, but seeing how most lotus guys are too scared to take their cars to automatic car washes, an alternate route is probably more in order.

also: DANGER WILL ROBINSON, DANGER

there were sheriff and CHP out in force today, running speed traps on the downhill side of Kanan Dume/Doom right before PCH, as well as on PCH on the downhill side south of Pepperdine before you hit the village.

whatever you guys end up doing, enjoy your sunday drive as i walk a trade show in anaheim

So they're finally fixing the road, it's only been like that for at least 4 years (probably longer)

I won’t be making it tomorrow so I guess it’s a moot point for me now.

Wow!! sorry for the thread hi-jack but, i just gotta mention that this probably IS the "LT out of town pullover week." I got a ticket in a rental car in Phoenix by one of their evil speed cameras. Just got in the mail yesterday. (77 in a 65 WTF??!! that's typical flow of traffic on the freeway around here.)

anyway, glad to hear you were able to get out of your ticket with a warning.

have fun on the Sunday drive everyone. Watch out for cops, its a cursed week.

Got pulled over just now coming home from a buddies house. Asked if i had been drinking, told him no. Did a quick sobriety test, when that was done "so this thing rides pretty rough huh?"

Continued to talk about the Lotus and tracking cars. Pretty cool cop.

I thought i was going to be busted for my decat for sure, moto cop right behind me must have smelled my exhaust.

The weather looks lame, people are getting tickets, roads under construction, and police are out.

So are we meeting up this morning or am I going to go work on my car instead?
