Ha! Would have been on the road yesterday if not for the big accident on the 405, was stuck for nearly 3 hours, put us behind schedule. Didn't want to drive the car home (50 miles) untested in the dark. Still have a couple of very minor things to finish up
Unfortunately, my friend whose house the car is at is out of town, so can't get it until Monday

the usual coffee gang showed up this morning and milton and i took off for the hills. i ended up hanging out at the rock store overlook for a bit before heading out all the way to yerba buena. my tires got a bit of a workout on the rough asphalt.

a bit of drama as we sat and drank coffee. i pulled a "marcus" and yelled at this woman who threw her door into another parked car, TWICE.

apparently the lady didn't like the fact that i referred to her as "sweetheart" when i was yelling at her. but she had a young child with her so i wasn't about to call her a "fat inconsiderate c*nt" like i wanted to

That road looks horendous, I hope it didn't claim any motorcycle riders lives.

Who runs this crap anyway...SoCal seems to have some of the worst road craftsmanship ever.

Roads here are a hell of a lot better than the roads I used to have to drive on the East Coast.

The road that is the problem was washed out by a landslide a few years ago and they are finally got around to fixing it. As is usually the case (so I've noticed), they often do the repairs and a quick grated pave and then let it settle for a while before doing the final pave, so I reckon they are not done yet.
That said they sure should have put some signage there to let people know about the dip.

Yes and No. I think the "Devastation Ledge" should be taken at .2359 MPH.

Many tried and many died ......and they've buried in the countryside!

LOL

I went there about 4 weeks ago and I was able to drive through it at like 1 mph, but I'm not sure if they've torn it up worse or not. I'm having tuna canyon withdrawals.
