I don't know if you noticed but the glass engine cover on the Lambo was a $3500 option! And get this, the alarm on a $190,000 car was a $625 option. I guess the Lotus alarm isn't such a bad deal after all.

Thanks for the pictures Mick, and thanks for everyone that attended. That was a great event. when I left the dealership they were interested in doing more of these type events with the Lotus club and even suggested events like this monthly. The dealership footed the bill for the catering which I thought was very nice.

It was also really nice of Doc and David to come out. This was the first time that Doc and David were together at a Lotus event in years and they both had a great time. Their contributions to the sport and Lotus are second to none.

Did you hear Doc mention his last trip to the the big Island to compete head to head in the Elise versus Maserati, Porsche, Ferrari, and Corvette left them all scratching their head. Doc said last week he spent several days at a undisclosed test track doing hot laps in the elise. he said he SMOKED each car maker . they were sent back to the drawing boards to re think what they were doing. he said the Ferrari would beat them in the long straights if they had the room, but Doc said he SMOKED them all which really had mim smiling and left the other race car makers a bit upset.

Lotus Elise, smoked the big guys...
