There is always gonna be someone on this forum that has to say something to jack the thread with none sense questions or just ruin it for everybody else. If you're so worried about drinking and driving then just don't go to the event. If you want to be a very responsible citizen also call the local PD and report the event and asked them to stand by and arrest everybody that drives off the dealership to make sure drunk drivers get arrested in the spot!!!!!

Yep, the excuse was they didn't have one available as the one they can show me was a new arrival and not "prepped" or some nonsense like that.

Hi, I appreciate your concerns and I knew when I posted that someone would comment on it. We do similar events with our Rolls-Royce clientele and have been doing it for years. If we notice some has been drinking..and believe me, it's easy to find out, then we would do the driving instead. That said, our whole focus is to concentrate on the driving aspects first before indulging in food and alcohol.

Typically the way these events go, the wives, girl friends or significant other does not want to do any driving and lets the other person have at it. Well rather than let them sit or walk around the dealership all bored, they can munch on foods and drink whatever beverage of their choosing including alcohol. Once the other person has done all the driving, he or she can join their partner and do the same while mingling with other drivers, Lotus executives and the sales staff. Towards the end we start putting away the alcohol (gotta save some for the staff and me ) and start offering water, soda or lots of coffee. Knock on wood, we've gone the last 15 years without an incident and the experience for our clients have been fantastic as they request to be on the mailing list for any future events.

We'd love for you to attend if for nothing else so you can see first hand how it's done and if you like it, you can tell others about it. Again, appreciate your concerns as it is valid.
