I'm in. Ilir and Lisa are in. Ed (Eaniemeanie) and Ali sounded like they were a go for a Saturday ride.

Add you to the mix and we have 5 cars so far. Who knows who else will show.

I'm working to get Adam (not on this forum, yellow Ferrari) to come along.

See you all in the morning at SW corner of Pomerado and Rancho Bernardo road!

In case I find myself waking after 3-4 hours of sleep tonight... what time is the posse meeting?

If history is any guide, it seems 7am is the time to meet.

Hopefully see you there.

Hey guys, If I meet you I'll see you in Ysabel, I'll be heading the opposite direction starting from MG. If you don't see me in Ysabel keep on going, it means I hit the snooze button.

Unfortunately, I can't. Something came up, whole weekend is down the drain. Sorry.

Hey Guys,
It's raining out, has been since last night where I live, so I'm going to pass. It's no fun in the rain. Nothing worst than slick roads.
Bummer!! Maybe we can revisit this tomorrow if the weather clears up.

Great drive today. Sprinkles a bit on the drive to the meeting point, otherwise completely perfect weather once we headed out.

Dave (rackhenry) brought out his Audi A4 as "rain insurance". Didn't need it, but held his own and kept up okay. Well, we at least saw him when we stopped at each of the intersections where we change roads . He was done pushing his car that hard by the time we got to Santa Ysabel, so he bailed at that point.

Adam brought the Ferrari. I brought the Exige. We waited a bit and got started late, not sure if others would show.
Strange conditions on the roads today. Traffic was bad on Engineer and towards the end of Old Julian Highway, but completely absent on Mesa Grande, East Grade (climb), and South Grade (descent). No bikes holding us up going up or down, which was extremely nice when compared with the last couple of drives. In fact, there was only 1 bike parked at Mother's Cafe at the top - very strange. On Highland Valley, we had 2 cars immediately in front of us right at the start, and within an 1/8 of a mile, both voluntarily pulled over onto the tiny shoulder, waving us to pass - that was extremely nice. Our late start (by 10-15 minutes) may have been a contributing factor to the traffic patterns we say today, but I'm not so sure .

Overall a fantastic drive, and especially the roads beyond Santa Ysabel (sorry Dave ) where we were traffic free with the occasional stretch of wet asphalt to slow us down in the bends. The smell of the forest and brushland, after the fresh rain, more than compensated for the reduced velocities.

Wished more of you could've come or decided to do it, as we had a blast.

Looking forward to the next one!

Ugh! I'm kicking myself for not going this morning!! The one time I did go when it was raining we ended up turning back. Sounds like the weather ended up being nice and like you guys had a great drive.

I had some committments added to my plate tomorrow so I'm going to miss out entirely this weekend. After missing a weekend of driving I'll certainly be raring to go next weekend. Let's plan ahead for a big Sunday drive!! Maybe head out to Borrego for a change?

I'm game for next week. I saw that you guys were posting that it was raining in SD and it was starting to rain in Temecula so I figured today was a wash.

Glad you guys had fun. I'm up for Borrego. What's your top speed again?

Any of you interested in doing a Lotus SD outing to K1 in Carlsbad?
