I might come, depends on how much work I get done tonight. But for whoever is going I recommend that you stay off Palomar mountain. Last sunday they had the airplane up again, and cops all over the mountain. The other roads seemed fine though.

You guys GOTTA do me a big favor. My father will be visiting on the weekend of the 17th, and he's never even seen the Elise - I was hoping to take him around East SD County in a chain of cars, like we did in the past... he's kinda excited about this. Anyone gonna show on the 17th? I know it's early...

I am up for that weekend, weather permitting. Next weekend is the last race of the year.

This sunday 12/10, local Porsche car club has a fun drive

Check out the link

I don't know if they allow other cars, but that would be awesome to show those P car what Elise/Exige is capable for on those twisties...

The road looks amazing, btw.

I dont think the road pictured is in San Diego County.

I doubt the Porsche club would take kindly to the Elises/Exiges showing up, but a coincidental party crash may be in order if it's not raining.

Hey Gameson, are you going to the GGLC Laguna Seca track day on Jan 2?

I'm registered, and towing the Elise up on the trailer.

I don't have a trailer and I am working on Jan 2. If I have a trailer, definitely I am going, but definitely I will not drive my Elise to LS just for tracking, too far in an Elise. Buttonwillow and Willow Spring is already too far for me, but I will go when there is event there.

Btw, the road is in Spring Valley, by highway 8 East if you look at the map.

Oh, I got this info from my workmate who has Porsche. He said it's OK, but I guess he is not the organizer, so I don't know. Best would be just crash their party this Sunday if we have enough people. lol

Yes, I'm pretty sure the pictured road is in Italy.

PCA has been okay with other cars showing up in the past, but it depends how they publicize a particular drive. In any case, please drive responsibly.

I am going to contact the individual on the Porsche Flyer, find out his route and see how receptive he is to Elises/Exiges tagging along. I'll let you all know what he says. The Porsche club is also offering participation in a lunch buffet after the drive for $20.00, something I personally would not participate in.

I'll post back the details.

The guy on the Porsche flyer is a little hard to get a hold of. I have spoke with his wife and she will have him call me.

If he is receptive to Lotus participation I will post back here stating such. If I don't hear from him, I'll be at the RB Rd meeting point if the roads are dry.

More later.....?

OK, I spoke with Keith at the San Diego Porsche Club and he said we are welcome to participate in the Porsche Club event. He said that we will be required to sign a waiver releasing the Club from any liability before we hit the road.

He described the types of speeds and attitude that they normally expect and it is similar to the way we conduct ourselves on the road. No double yellows, etc.

The meeting point is the parking lot at Steele Canyon High School 12440 Campo Rd. Spring Valley CA 91978. Be there at 8:30.

I'll be there if its not raining.

I am also in if it's not raining, but I will not join the buffet. Can you elaborate about the route? Are we going to end up in Julian/Palomar?
