Saturday the 18th
For those of us not going to the Historics; I'm going out Saturday morning (got a Padre game Sunday). If anyone wants to get out on Saturday let me know. I'm flexible on meeting place, but I would like to get going early.

Went out Saturday at 0700, did the usual Mesa Grande/Palomar run and coincidently ran into Shinoo and Neal from Sector 111 on the top of Palomar. Shinoo had his Ariel Atom and Neal was in the Spider/Stripper, all sixteen hundred pounds of it.
I talked with them for a while about superchargers and CARB certification before heading home through a CHP-infested Mesa Grande. No ticket though, they didn't hear me coming and were aimed in the other direction. I'm definately keeping the stock pipe. Mike |

I am thinking that only week day runs are in my future. There are just too many donor cycles out on the weekends (according to U-T many are dying each weekend). If you want to do a run on Weds. I am up for it. I leave with the ET trip to UK on Thurs.
Mike, sorry I didn't make it up early Sat, but I was up late working on Randy's servers. |

Wednesdays...Hmmmm? Not regularly but maybe occasionally.
Leaving early on Saturday, the roads were wide open and the CHP didn't make an appearance until after 1000. I still think that the weekends could be fun. We dont push it that hard do we? If anything I think getting out earlier than the normal 0900 would make a difference on two fronts, Traffic and CHP. This time, moving my start time up to 0700 sure made a big difference in traffic. Have fun in the UK...you'll be burning your greenbacks for heat. They're approaching worthless over there at the moment. I'm leaving again for the Med on Thursday, so I'm out until Sep 4. See ya when I get back. Sector 111 Track day at Streets on the 7th? Mike |

Wife and I are going to France for the week after the UK trip and return evening of the 7th. Then I have regatta on the 8-9th. I don't really know if I will make the boat with Jet Lag. |

I would be more interested in a midweek drive too. Specially if it is a smaller group.

sunday 9/2/07 drive
I am renting an elise this weekend and want to take it on a drive on a road I read about in the SD Tribune paper.
Roller coaster ride Weekend Driver Leave big vehicles home for twisty journey on Lyons Valley Road If there's a road in San Diego County that mimics the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster at Belmont Park in Mission Beach, it must be Lyons Valley Road, near Jamul. Here are the directions. Distance: About 34 miles from end of state Route 94 freeway. Difficulty: Challenging. Directions: State Route 94 east. Continue onto Jamacha Road at Campo Road. Right at Willow Glen Drive. Right at Steele Canyon Road. Left at Jamul Drive. Left at Lyons Valley Road. Follow Lyons Valley Road to the right at intersections with Skyline Truck Trail and Honey Springs Road. Right at Honey Springs Road. Right at Route 94. Follow Route 94 back to freeway in Casa de Oro. i m working on it!! unfortunately living in USA, I don't have many channels to watch beside Fox Soccer Channel, and they only broadcast EPL. I like Italian league, so most of the time, i have to settle with Internet TV from Asia since those countries are the one that broadcast EVERYTHING, from EPL, Serie A, La Liga, everything imaginable.
