I know what’s going on up in Malibu but what’s the plan down there?
Meet at the C&C then go for a drive? Drive where, as in route? I have been in Malibu but never did a drive in SD so I’m thinking of maybe going down there instead for something new. It takes about 1:30 to drive ether way but Malibu starts at 10:30 so I don’t need to get up as early. Does one need to be at this C&C at 7:00 to see/do/park in or near/whatever or is 8:00 OK? |

Sorry things were not well organized and I was not sure if I was doing Malibu or SD until I woke up. But staying up until 3:00am sealed the deal. San Diego it was. Good to see FitFan and Swisstun and family. We did breakfast after at a nice place in La Jolla.
In the future GG, getting there at 8:00am is fine.

New in town!
When is the next Sunday Drive? I just moved here from Oklahoma and my Lotus has only run with other Loti at the Driving School.

Once the rain stops, I'll probably try and get out in the next few weeks.
Participation in this somewhat irregular drive program is hit and miss. There has been some consistancy between me, Jeff, Mike and Craig using the north or south meeting places, and Paul H., FitFan and Luke have also been semi-regulars on a local San Diego drive starting from the coastal area (sorry if I'm forgetting anyone). But the last time we went out Craig was talking about pulling up stakes and moving to NZ. This thing started with me and Chris H. heading out of Ramona every Sunday when I first bought my car. Since '05; I guess the thrill has kind of warn off and we all have other commitments to deal with at times. I still try to go at least once a month when work, camping, scouts or soccer isn't a priority. The original route started in Rancho Bernardo and headed east through Highland Valley. The destination was usually chosen the morning of the drive. We have also started from Steele Canyon High School at times and covered the southeastern part of SD county. Start time was usually 8:00 to 8:30. Pace was usually dictated by whoever was leading, I rarely went over 80, but when Jeff and Mike were out front, who knows. Continue to watch the thread. If I'm going out, I'll usually post on the Saturday night before. Jeff is usually good for every other month. What part of town are you living in? Hope to meet you soon, Mike |

I haven't been going the last year or so because I have been traveling so much, I would rather spend the time with my family. And, the drive is often pretty early in the morning (I'm a night person). But, if you don't want to constantly get stuck behind a lot of slow people, you have to go early.

Same here. Just moved from Michigan to California. Will have to divide the Sunday's between the MDR in LA and this one. I spend time in both locations.

San Diego British Car Day If you're interested just look for a Magnetic Blue Elise and a black s2000. Probably head out right after the driving part right before lunch. larez2 ![]() |
