Fun roads, great group of people and cars!

Oh, and maybe sleep isn't so overrated... I had about the same as you and now I need a nap...

Sorry I missed the drive yesterday AM, sounds like you guys had fun and great choice on roads.

I decided to take the drive yesterday afternoon. Five police cars on 79. Three running radar, two parked in Julian. First time out there so maybe this is normal... or a response to the AM drive

I wasn't us... it was the Mini Coopers!

Just after leaving Julian, we passed around 2 dozen Mini Coopers on Old Julian Hwy... lots of beeping and waving I hope someone's got pics...

That was a great drive! I agree; fabulous weather, great roads and a great group of people! It was so nice to meet eveyone.

Who was the gentleman with the white Ferrari, who was sweet enough to wave us past him once that blazing white Corolla got out of the way? Is he a member on here? If so I'd like to thank him for his gesture. I was too focused on getting back into the lane before the curve ahead to give him a thank you wave, and then he disappeared!

Looking forward to the next one....

You mean the white Porsche 914/6 that I was behind? I think Paul knows him from the PCA...

I'd guess very early 70's... they were made from '69-'76, but I think only the first few years were available with the flat 6 cylinder. You don't see that many around anymore, but they're potentially killer autocross cars.

Yes, he is a PCA member that is alway's up for a drive. It's a '70 914/6. Traded emails with him to be sure everthing was ok. No problems other then a very unhappy wife in the passenger seat!!

Should have some nice pictures on CD soon from the BMW guys. Have you ever seen a passenger as happy about a drive as the Englishman riding in the BMW! That was great!

Yeah, the mini group was sure happy on the horn. I guess it's the British car thing! That was cool to see them out. Getting a late start though.

Good to hear everything was fine with the Porsche, too bad about the unhappy wife, LOL!

I heard from the Englishman John. He was so inspired by the drive that he bought a BMW M3Z on his way back to Kansas City!

Here are a few more pictures....

I'm interested, but gotta talk to wifey. I'm not sure if she would enjoy getting up that early. Especially when combined with pregnancy.

I'm interested.

Where are you going to meet?

0630 is a good time, it being Memorial Day weekend, the roads will be plugged later on.

Let me know where and when, I need to blow the mouse crap out of the exhaust, I've been gone for a month.

I might be able to make it. I have someone coming over to look at buying the Noble, but if there is not conflict, I will try to make it.

She is not that far into pregnancy, only 15 weeks. She enjoys riding in Lotus; but I don't know, I'll see what she prefers. I already promised her a fun weekend, so I don't wanna leave her at home alone even for few hours. Yeah I know, I'm whipped...
