I'm too new to the group to suggest a route, so instead I'm just showing up and going along for the ride.

I would take a guess that we'll head up the hill towards Ramona and then Santa Ysabel, from there either Palomar or Julian. I'll just play follow the leader, and hopefully avoid the shoulder this week - nasty...

See you all Sunday morning!

Ferdie,

Just got a chance to watch the video. Very nice, thanks for putting that up.

Look forward to seeing you out on another run soon, have fun with that whole Mt Biking and Paddleboard stuff. Just kidding, I'm a big fan of the biking and water sports activities.

Can't wait to see the Mesa Grande footage, that's my favorite stretch of road on the drive.

Hope you all have a fun drive!!!

Another Excellent Sunday Morning

Great meeting you Ed, Craig (both of you), Gianna, and Ali.

Adam and Ilir, as usual, it was quite a nice day and great seeing you guys again. Special shout out and big huge THANKS to Ilir for helping Ali with the fuel situation at the base of Palomar. I hope it wasn't too convoluted resolving that...

Sorry I couldn't stick around for the fun, as it was I got home with 5 minutes to spare to get me and my daughter over to Church. Couldn't miss that today , so I'm glad things worked out.

I'm out for this coming weekend - family in town from San Francisco - but look forward to joining another ride soon.

Yes great drive! The "excuses excuses" stiener hurts me man.....hurts....... Anyday you wanna lead and I'll follow then switch let me know!!!!! (Note, didn't show the part where we lost ya on Southgrade, but I digresss....)

The worst part about meeting new people is that all the groups I know would make up a WAY TOO big group to where it could be fun!

I think Adam needs a callsign. My suggestions are:

Yosemite Sam
Judge Doom (from Who Framed Roger Rabbit)
or my favorite
Brother Maynard (Monty Python and the Holy Grail, keeper of the Holy Hand-grenade that killed the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog.

If it wasn't for that tanker at the end I think I could have coasted down a few more miles

I thought they called it a splitter because it split the airflow....I was wrong.

Aah... Uuh... I bought that t-shirt for $5. I had no idea about the print on it. I just liked it. Then one guy in Italy, an elderly couple in Turkey, and several teenage boys in JFK started a conversation with me in French while I'm wearing it. So far, no hotties... That's why that t-shirt is wife-approved.

I didn't do anything special. Everyone in that group would gladly help. I happened to be the first one there.

I won't be able to join the drive this Sunday. It's our first wedding anniversary, I should be a good boy and take wifey somewhere fun. Hopefully, I'll see you guys in 10 days or so.

HA that's too funny! Well now you can add some guy in SoCal too....

Pointe Claire was the next town over from where I lived, which was on the west island in Montreal.

I didn't think that was a Quebecois accent!

That's awesome, too funny. I had to share with some co-workers today, who also were laughing out loud at the "wife-approved" remark. Thanks again, good times.

Sounds good to me, I would be 75% sure for Sunday. If Saturday morning were an option for folks, that would move up to 100%.
